Is there a FB group page for JW?
I'm with Amber, only because I'm on FB far more than here and quicker to respond to FB too. :)
I added a poll to the thread so members can vote on it. :)
Can't see the poll in my phone but I'd vote for that!
Other forums I've belonged to have about died out when FB took over. People stopped posting and checking the forums. I would hate to see that happen with JWE.
I have to agree with @Luv2spin. We are so free here to say whatever we want, I don't understand the need for a FB page.
I'm on Facebook 99 times to the 1 time I'm here. IF you did make it, it would just be an extension of this forum with no moderation necessary. I could have make one in two seconds.

If you can justify having a section for Big Daddy's Living room you can justify a section for Facebook. Assuming those of us that don't like getting on FB can partake in it through this forum. Am I missing anything?
would hate to see forum go to a crawl besides live tr's due to facebook
My vote is no FB.
I still do not understand why adding FB would cause activity in the forum to slowdown. Wouldn't it just add another avenue for people to participate in the forum? Am I missing something? I do not do FB but if I did it seems that if anything it would make it easier to participate in the JWE forum. I'm confused. Would somebody please explain.
This would be a group on Facebook, totally separate from here. You wouldn't be able to access it from the forum. I wouldn't want it to take away from people using Tapatalk (simply because we are making ad revenue monthly which is paying for the forum hosting) (and my future cabana and to fund the entourage..HHH)
Could you be more specific in what would happen if a FB page was added to JWE? As I said before I do not use FB. But let's say you decide to add a FB section to your website. Those people that use FB would have easier access to post on this forum would they not? They would not be able to read anything posted on this forum unless they signed on but those of us who are on the JWE forum could read whatever it is that they post by going to the FB section of JWE forum if that is indeed what ends up happening. Is that or is that not how it would work? If there is more to it than that please explain.
There wouldn't be a Facebook section added to JWE. Nothing about Facebook on this forum, it would be totally separate and independent of Facebook. Essentially it's like a new forum, except on Facebook and less structured. If you use Facebook it is convenient to make posts/post pictures, which is where those who are in favor are coming from. But if you aren't on Facebook, you would have no access to it.
I don't think there should be a Facebook group page because I don't think it would add anything to this forum. I'm not sure that it would even send anyone over to this forum. What if a section were created where you could post a link to your personal Facebook page. Then we could add each other that way?? IDK......:)
I am okay with it because you can find Jokers that use facebook and friend them there. My Vegas game chip shares and also to communicate if the forum goes down.
I am still just as confused as I was when I stuck my nose into this issue. I guess because I do not use and have no desire to use FB. Maybe that will change at some point as we just recently upgraded the technical part of our lives to include iphones for sassycat and I a few months back. Until then we will both trust the inner circle/illuminati within this forum to do what is in the best interest of everyone and I will keep my head buried in the sand and comply with whatever happens.
Nah! Me no like FB :{ Look at what had happened on the SF forum. There was all kind of commotion & chaos on that forum because of what a few had said about others on FB. History might not repeat sometimes but it always at least rhyme's.
Hehe! Here is a screenshot of what a Facebook group looks like. It all takes place on Facebook.

If you, James, created a Facebook account you could join that group and talk/post pictures etc. Your JWE username/password has no correlation to that Facebook group. It's a separate entity. If we created such group as you don't have a Facebook account, you wouldn't know anything about it. Next time we meet we'll get you a Facebook account! :playful:
I don't book face either.
I just want to add that there is a closed Facebook group that already exists that some Jokers like myself are members. My iphone will not allow me to upload videos thru Tapatalk but I can Airdrop any videos I want to Facebook. I am somewhat technical challenged when it comes to sharing videos as I have no idea how to upload to YouTube. I am content for now to be able to airdrop into Facebook page or group. Another Facebook Group for Jokers would be lame IMO cause we already have a good thing going here & as I mentioned there are numerous Jokers already members of the closed Facebook Group for us degenerates.
I'm thinking no to a face book page for the forum at this time
Oh well I guess if everyone starts posting on FB instead of here, I will miss it because I'm not on FB and have no plans to join.

I am not a face book person unless I'm really bored and nothing interesting is on this forum, and nothing but re-runs are on TV.
I just don't see any reason to add another element to what is a great forum. If some people are posting on FB and some are posting here, what happens to the sense of community we are building? I vote NO FUCKING WAY.
I say no to a FB JWE group only for the reason that I don't want to add a 2nd FB account with my forum name and I will not use my personal FB account out on a public forum or even to everyone on a JWE FB account. I like the fact that we do have some extent of animosity on the forum, I feel you lose that on FB.

At this time, I like what we have :)
For message boards, good for posting casino trip reviews, ask and answer questions, news, etc. Also everything is organized based on topic and having its own section. With facebook groups, best for conversations and getting to know people. It is also quicker for asking and answering important questions as well. The con with facebook groups is your post can get left in the dark and people have to scroll around to try and find what they are looking for and also it is a mess trying to find posts too unless its up closest to the top.
Therefore, I say YES for facebook group for chatting, very important info, and for any quick updates if the forum goes down where Ken can send a message to all the forum members with facebook letting us know what is going on.
