The latest update crashed my computer. I was finally able to reset it to factory and can now use it again, but I lost my apps and bookmarks! Thank goodness my pics and docs are updated on an external hard drive. But, it's still a pain in the ass to try and remember my favorites and have to log-in on each one again.
Just needed to vent.
Agreed! The downloads occur automatically and there is nothing you can easily do to stop it. Then it may reboot your computer and put you in a long and usually ill-timed update and reboot sequence that can and DOES freeze up your computer. This is especially true if the computer was a Windows 7/8 upgrade. It took me over two years to finally learn about removing a wireless card slot from inside of my computer to allow an upgrade to stop freezing my computer at 81%. I spent hours online trying to self-diagnosis this ridiculous item and cannot believe it was the cause that windows never could get around.Quote:
