I can remember how thieves used to sit in front of someone's home in a car with a code reader waiting for the home owner to pull out of their garage and they would get the frequency code when the owner used their remote to close the garage door. Then they were able to access the home very easily to rob once after the home owner left by using their reading of the frequency code of the garage door opener.
