I also would choose #1. It takes a lot of pressure off if you can be ahead at the beginning.
LOL - though I am like @zeus - would be nice to come home with an extra $500.

I gave this a lot of thought, and I am going with Choice #1. My biggest hit ever came on the first night of a fairly long trip, and I was on a high for the entire trip even though I couldn't win another thing!
I guess we have short memories because I have also had those trips where I lose, lose, lose and then pull it out at the end which makes me forget what a grumpy bitch I was for most of the trip - HHH
2, I like the euphoria of getting some of my money back.

Definately #1. It sets up a winning vibe that you can ride for the whole trip.

Def #1. I could never lose $1000 in one outing, I cut bait and walk around $400 down and that amount is if I'm in Vegas. Locally I rarely take more than $100.

Scenario #1.. I like to play with the Casino's $$ and tend to play bigger when ahead and play games I normally wouldn't.
The problem for me is to leave $500 up...
I'd prefer #1 because then I could say that I played on their money. And earned whatever comps during that playtime, so I would feel that it was worth it.
And I also know that #2 would probably never happen, because if I won $1500 and then was up $500, I'd most likely think I was on a hot streak and play more, thereby losing all of that money as well!!!
I prefer 2. Getting back my money and then some really makes me happy!! Winning right away makes me regret every dollar I give back. How about option 3, winning right away and winning some more?....lol.
So far ...
Option 1.....13
