    Grand Casino Shawnee, OK

Okay Jokers have any of you ever been here? My aunt, uncle and I have just booked there for 4th of July weekend. This will be our first trip there. The hotel and pool look very nice, plus the rates were very reasonable. I will be dead come this weekend as the weekend before this I am driving up to Colorado from East Texas to visit family. Then I am driving back home the Thursday before we leave on this Saturday (July 2nd) to drive up near Oklahoma City. If that makes sense HHH.

Brandon, we visit our son in OKC often and The Grand is our casino of choice. We've been to Winstar and Riverwind and we prefer The Grand. I have not stayed there, but my daughter-in-law has and she said the rooms are very nice. We've only eaten in the sports bar and it was very good and affordable. It has a "vegas" feel and look to it and the casino is two stories full of slots. There is also a room off of the bottom floor with specialty slots in it, but I never go in there. My husband I enjoy it very much. The only downside, maybe, is that it is in the middle of nowhere and there is not really anyplace around it for food or drinks or sightseeing. If you are there for family, fun and slots, you will enjoy it very much.

Thanks! We are there for the reasons you mention so we hope to have a blast. The pool and outside bar look very cool. What type of specialty slots are you talking about?

I'm sorry. I do not know. I really have never gone inside it. It seems a little dark and I did not find it inviting. It reminds me of the room off of the casino floor at Winstar. I don't go in there either. I've played QH Cash Wheel, 72 Degrees, Wheel of Fortune, Hot Shot and bunch of others there. They have Wonka and other, too. As a side note, we were leaving the casino one night and I stopped at the $1 Wheel of Fortune machines right by the front door and won a $1,000 on a spin! I know you will love it.

That is okay hccj! We are very excited to check it out. I see myself staying by the rooftop pool and bar during the daytime hours!

    How did your trip go?

I've been to Grand Casino a few times now. I think it is a great venue all around. Nice hotel with great rooms and a great pool. The food is hit or miss, kind of a small buffet for a large casino.
Good number of table games and slots. Free ice cream at the soda stations.

My gripe is the lack of choices in the high limit room. I end up not playing much because there is such a small number of slots. A few VGT and some old school reels. It has a $25 Double Diamond Haywire but I've found it to be very streaky.
