JACK Cleveland has gotten so bad that it almost feels like they are doing it on purpose.

It's been going downhill down there for a while now, predating the JACK announcement by a few months. I used to spend quite a bit of time in their HL area and most of my biggest jackpots have come from there. Stuff tightened up paywise down there about a year ago, around the time that I started noticing more of the other HL players I have nodding acquaintance with playing over in the Hard Rock HL room, and when it started to feel like security down there had started to get a bit more lax.

From reading the comments on their Facebook page the food and hotel comps have pretty much disappeared. I can't speak for how hotel worked before, because I never needed to use those and always declined whenever they were offered. But the food comps were very generously offered before and from what I read that is no longer the case.

The gift offers have also disappeared. I got so many nice things from them in the past. When my play there reduced the dollar values of gift cards went down and I got less high end offers but I still got offers that were generous enough to say hey I should probably plan to go there this day. I did get down there for a lot of play in the last few weeks that CET was there to get some points in for the Spring bonus, and given that had they still been on the CET system of calculating offers I'd be getting higher $ offers again. But so far I have seen nothing of substance worth my effort to go downtown.

If that is the case for everyone, which from what I read I suspect that it is, then it is no wonder there's no one there to tip the workers. I've also read that the points for free parking have gone up substantially, in terms of how much coin in you need to get it, which is probably another thing keeping people away. When the other two gambling joints in the area - Jack Thistledown and Hard Rock - are pretty easy to get to and offer abundant close free self parking for everyone - why go through the hassle.

I do have to say from my limited observations that the change to Jack doesn't appear to have hurt Thistledown at all. I pop in there occasionally when I'm over that way and no matter when I go it's still busy.
