    Sky Ute Casino Colorado

A friend and I will be going on a "Historic Trains of Colorado" tour and one of the places we will be staying is the Sky Ute Casino for 2 nights. I could not find any posts about the casino and wondered if anyone has been there and what it is like. Thanks!

Nice you get to stay in a casino. Last I was in Colorado there were no casinos

I've never been in the casino, but the Durango area is beautiful and amazing. Love the Durango & Silverton RR, like stepping back in time.

If you have the time, be sure to check out the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde, about an hour away from the casino.

Ouray is a neat little town on Highway 550, the "million dollar highway", called that because of the views.

We haven't been to the Sky Ute Casino yet, but want to try it out sometime. If you can, it would be great to see pics! We typically play at Black Hawk because it's way closer to home. I second everything Warren said about the area. Great Sand Dune National Park is also a must see if you have time too.

Sounds like a fun trip - enjoy!

I don't know anything about the casinos, but that sounds like a fun trip. Would love to see a trip report.

Thanks everyone, I plan to take lots of pics and will do a trip report. Thank you Warren for the recommendations; they are on the itinerary along with a bunch more things.
