Is the process that you went through to adopt him fairly typical? Where they do home visits and such?
I know this particular rescue does because they rescue from Kill Shelter, they want them to go to Forever homes. They check to see if you are a pet hoarder, keep them outside, or may be reselling them. They neuter or spay every animal before they can be adopted and microchip them.
