Cool "Lightning Link" Slot Secret on the 15th Bonus Round Space

FYI for those who are playing this machine:
The "one away" (the 15th space on the Bonus round) is actually the virtual reel where many will be left with after the 14th space is filled. On each Lightning Round bonus spins there is always one of the 15 slot spaces that has the virtual reel on it on each spin. I do not have the math stats on it, but it many have hundreds/thousands of blank spaces with only one "amount" chip scrolling at the same speed as the other reels for the "Grand Jackpot". My eye has actually never seen the 15th virtual reel chip space scroll by, but I am sure its there.

Never fear, there is also an "instant" win feature for the Lightning Link Grand Jackpot where you will just be awarded the Grand Jackpot after the conclusion of any spin without even being in the bonus round.

Which version of the game theme is your favorite and why? (Moon, Horse Race, Sahara, Mermaid, Asian Dragon, Vegas High Stakes, etc..)

I have seen the chip on the 15th wheel, while it was spinning. A local playing next to me at The Orleans pointed it out. He had already pointed out to me that most of the time there is no chip on that 15th wheel. I did experience that many times. It was fun watching that wheel spin and the actual possibility that it might land in the open spot. I like Sahara and Asian Dragon.

That is news to me about the Grand jackpot being awarded randomly! I always thought that you had to have the last spot filled in. My favorite of all is the Lightening Links games is Magic Pearl. I always seem to have the most luck with that one.

I used to do real well on Sahara Gold, but then the second half of 2016 and all of this year happened and I can't hit squat on it, or any of them. But I always go back.

Interesting about the ability to random hit the Grand without being on the game. Did not know that. I can tell you the last # to hit when I hit the Grand was one up from the bottom left (I think)

That is interesting. It makes sense, I don't know that there is a game out there with that large of a jackpot that can be won without some "weighted" odds to it, but didn't realize that's how its done.

another thing I noticed about LL games is that it seems like 1 out of 10 of the hold and spin bonuses are really good. But rarely is there a mix of good and bad. Say you are betting 50 credits on the game (doesn't matter the denomination, just using for an example). Most bonuses you'll end up with a bunch of 50, 100, 150 and maybe as much as 250 credits in the boxes. But every so often you'll get some really high credits amounts on that same bet- like 2500, 5000, etc. Of course larger bettors get higher credits, but even those high bets will occasionally get bonuses with 25000 credits then in them. You never get a mix though- like if I'm getting 50's and 100's I never see a big amount land. If I'm getting the large credit amounts I don't see the minimums land, maybe the smallest is the mini.

    I'm guessing that's by design?

I had this 15th reel discussion with a WMS Math friend when we did a buddy-play on Lightning Link and we were both convinced, given our knowledge in this area, that regulators would not allow a virtual reel to be void of any 15th chip symbol. At least allowing the potential for the 15th chip to show up (1 in a million would even be acceptable) would be necessary. So in most cases you just don't see the scroll for that 15th symbol since it either moves too "fast," doesn't have a chance to "pass-by" before the symbol appears (all illusory, of course), or the reality that the RNG just did not produce the winning combo.
