Yes I had LOTS of hand pays from the $25 a spin reel machines, but still ended up coming home broke most of the time.

I now take a bankroll one tenth of that amount and bet no more than $1 a spin. I have just as much fun and don't lose that much anymore.

Still get an occasional hand pay with those small bets too.

I can honestly say, counting all my gambling trips, including my locals, that I have lost over a million dollars gambling during the last 40 years, and wish I still had that million now!

In the long run the casino is going to come out ahead anyway, so why bet that high when you know the casino will eventually get it all back?
