What a beautiful place Mauretania. Looks like an all inclusive place Sassycat and I stayed at in Costa Rica. Hard to believe such a nice place exists in the middle of the desert.

Yes, the grounds and the pool area are beautiful the casino is smallish with plenty of old/new slots BUT lots of full-pay VP at all denominations. The locals seem to love the nickel VP progressives, always packed. The Suncoast Casino/Hotel is next door, the golf course sits between the two properties.

Did you happen to take any pictures of the hotel room itself? It looks like the type of place Sassy and I need to look into visiting some time. Sounds like video poker heaven at the casino as well. How are they at comps and taking care of you if you play a lot while you are there?

I didn't bother taking pictures of the rooms in that particular suite as it was like an apartment with a dining room, kitchen, living room, master bedroom, bath and foyer. This particular JW Marriott is unusual in that the majority of the room are actually one-bedroom suites (a separate bedroom off the living area) with wetbars. The decor is rather dated "traditional" nothing swank like the Bellagio/Wynn/Aria. I do have pictures that I took (at a friend's request) from the regular one-bedroom suite which I'll post.

Comps - It's really a local's casino with the usual monthly mailers. My monthly mailer offers consist of two nights in a standard room (not the suites) and free play (March amount is $119) and my husband's monthly offers are two nights in a standard room and free play (March amount is $250). We also get invites to their slot tournaments. We never book the monthly offers as I just email my host and she takes care of everything but she's been my host since 2006 when she was my host at Red Rock. I really only "moved" to Rampart because of her. I don't work with a host at the Strip properties but will, for my up-coming visit to Palazzo, in April.
