Like Gene, CET made us an offer we couldn't refuse so we are booked for Harrahs Gulf Coast September 3 - September 6. I guess Sun Country airlines are starting regular flights to Biloxi and our offer was airfare + 3 nights + transfers + free play.
Any Biloxi tips you'd like to share? I know that we need 2000 points for Diamond so that'll happen first. What other casinos should we check out? Should we rent a car?

Good luck and sounds like a really good deal!!
I wish I could help but we have never been to Biloxi. It will be interesting to find out what you think when you go.
I cannot wait to go back to Biloxi. You will love it! We stayed 3 nights at the Beau and never left the resort to explore others. It was a great casino. We did rent a car, but never needed it. Good luck and have fun!

Hi Mary, I will be there this weekend.
There is a hopper that runs between the casinos $1.50 each way or I think there is an all day pass for $6. The only problem is that it stops running by 9pm I think and doesn't run at all on Sundays. I have seen taxis there but never used one to tell you the price.
Harrahs is pretty small so you will definitely want to check out other casinos. I would recommend Hard Rock and Beau Rivage, they are next door to each other and accessible on the hopper.
Have a great trip

Biloxi for sure is on my bucket list! However as of right now, I have received no offers from them for ANYTHING! Hopefully I can get on their radar somehow without having to actually play there first?

Hmmm, wish we were there instead of harrahs, but it's hard to say no to their offer. We for sure will play at Beau and hope to get on M's radar.

I'm glad you saw this post, I see from your TR's that you go to Biloxi.
How far away are Beau and Hard Rock from Harrahs? Sounds like the hopper is pretty limited...we may need a car after all.

It's weird how this came out of the blue after we went to Council Bluffs. We'll scope it out for you Gene!

I just checked rental car and it would be $77 for a compact car for those dates. I don't really think you need a car unless you want to drive around away from casinos. Beau and Hard Rock are close enough that I don't think cab would be that much if the hopper wasn't available. I will try to ask a cab when I'm there how much it would be. You are leaving Sunday so the hopper not running on Sunday should not impact you. I will let you know when I get back what I find out.

Good luck this weekend! Thanks also for checking on cab rates! And you are right, Sunday no hopper won't affect us.

We recently found out both Harrahs and the Beau are connecting with Sun Country to Gulfport. We have done direct charters before but this is available almost every weekend out of MSP through November. I think you can ask purchase seats for around 250 round trip

Yep, this is a regular sun country flight starting in august. Did you have a flight confirmation number when you went? Our host didn't provide one and control freak me hates that.

No.. We didn't.. But they sent us paperwork in the mail about a week in advance and we went to the counter with our id and they had out seat assignment and info. It was smooth .. Don't stress.. They have it down to a science :)

I love Biloxie. If you get a car go to Bay St. Louis and work your way back. Last time we were there I think there were 9 around that area.

I love Biloxi! You will have a fun time. Harrah's is small so make sure you get to the other larger casinos, like the Beau Rivage and IP.
