I actually was just there last week. I was visiting family in Chicago and my uncle who likes playing slots wanted to go there instead of some of the other casinos we usually go to when I'm there.

Haven't stayed in the hotel- used to be a Harrah's years ago until they took over the Horseshoe nearby in Hammond, so can't help there.

The casino was renovated somewhat recently so was nice- it's on three levels with slots on them so make sure you make it around. To be honest I loved this place from my last trip. It didn't hurt that I left $800 ahead (although I went back and lost $200 of it). They have a ton of the old Aristocrat games, just about every one you can think of, and even some I have forgotten about or never saw before. I'll give it one of the best mix of games of any casino I have been to ever. They even still have one of the Awesome Reels games.
I had a lot of $200 bonuses betting 75 cents that day on a lot of the Aristocrat games, won $300 on some 50 cent reels, and a $320 hit on min bet on Buffalo Stampede. Anyway- highly recommend obviously.

We used to love this place! Even before it was a Harrah's but haven't been back since Harrah's sold it. Not sure why, we might need to check it out again.

Yeah- although I found a lot of them also at Horseshoe Hammond and Four Winds- but Ameristar had some games that those casinos don't have either- some games that have progressives that work like Outback Jack or Mr Woo that I never found anywhere else- plus lots of OBJ and Mr Woo there, and even some of the Aristocrat Games from about 3 or 4 years ago that other casinos got rid of. They have the brand new games too, that I didn't see at the other casinos like WW4.

Years and years and years ago, when I first started playing slots they had the game Bumble Bug. I loved that game, maybe because I had my first big win ($78) on it. But alas that game is long gone.
