I enjoy smoking a lot more than I enjoy playing slots, so NOLA dropped off my bucket list LOL.
When the Illinois casinos went smoke free their revenue dropped drastically, while neighboring states like Iowa and Indiana, which allow smoking, showed a substantial increase.

It will all even out in a few years with new non smokers reaching gambling age every year and with the old smokers dying off every year and soon everybody will be happy...

Hmmmm... Not necessarily Gene. I think that there will always be smokers that like to gamble. It's just that more of the younger generation are now smoking "mary jane" (and other) instead of tobacco. Also, alotta these new rules & regulations to run other peoples lives (by gov't) are to appease the minority. Majority rule doesn't happen much anymore because of "political correctness". All that we can do is vote with our dollars on where we want to spend them. I'm with you, I like to enjoy smoking while gambling. I won't patronize a casino that totally prohibits it : )

The drop in revenue was since the ban took affect in Apr., and the next parish over where they still can smoke is picking up.
