$100k Cosmopolitan Slot Tournament

Just got this offer for $100k slot tournament at Cosmo. Since I'm already going to be there for G2E I'm wondering if this is worth leaving to Vegas a day earlier than planned to play in it. Has anyone done one of their slot tournaments if so can you tell me more about it. I'm very curious. CPT we get so many questions about different types of Tournaments I'm wondering if we should have a standalone Slot Tournament topic???

We just did multimedia games slot tournament at Coushatta and they're great. The sessions are only like 5 minutes so suck it up and you could actually win something cool. It doesn't take a lot of time. We will all be virtually cheering you on!!

Nope, I am pretty new to Cosmo. I have done tournaments elsewhere, but never there.

I would call an ask if there is a guaranteed free play. I wouldn't do a tournament unless I get free play. Good luck if you decide to do it!

I also got this tournament invitation as did Boots, but I'm not doing it because I decided 5 nights in Vegas was more then enough for me during G2e. I was the guest of someone years ago in one of their Million dollar tournaments and that tournament had a party at the end of it that was great. However this sounds like one of the tournaments they have on their casino floor without any food and drink involved. I'm guessing though, so I suggest calling up the Cosmo Identity desk and asking them your questions for an accurate answer. :)

I can always count on you to be the wise one!!! You just saved me the extra hassle. The fact that this is not detailed at all and I cant really find info on it anywhere I assumed it was a boring one...where as I found a ton of info on their Million Dollar ones.

You can qualify for fourth round by earning a certain amount of points which has been typically 20,000 points which could replace your lowest score. In my experience, I've never seen a winner win without playing 4th round. My buddy came in second place in the last tournament and the 1st place have beat him by several hundred points and his score was around 245k, if memory serves.

I personally like the MMG tournaments as they are short and have those extra bonus balloons and such. The machines that they just switched to at Cosmo are the older 3x 4x 5x reel machines.

My challenge with them is that they sometimes lag or buttons get stuck. I don't think I've ever had that problem when utilizing the MMG machines.

Today in snail mail I received the paper invitation and unfortunately it didn't have any additional details then the email so not sure why they wasted the paper and postage, LOL!

I got that invite too and agree, not that great, though I would always likely take a pass on any buy in over 1k. I did do a 1k at Aria last year, but only because even the last places got the 1k back in free play at the end.

It would be fun as a group though only 8 or 10 at a time can be on the machines that run the tournament at the same time. Also, they frequently take breaks from this promotion and don't run it during times of large conventions so you would need to call up the Grazie players club desk the week before the convention and find out from them if the daily tournament will be going on.

If I'm staying at Palazzo after Aria I will definitely do it on either Wednesday or Thursday. However, if I'm staying at Cosmo for the last two days of G2e instead I won't trigger a visit to V/P by gambling there at all (or at least not on my own Grazie card which means no tournament entry for me) as I don't want to screw up my ADT with them. At the moment I'm planning on likely staying at Cosmo where Boots will be staying on Wednesday and Thursday. Sorry. :(
