I really like Cosmo and those noisy Aruze machines always bring me in. The last two trips I've hit the ATM there too, I believe they do like too! I just feel the room product is superior enough to get a little extra play from me. Even that, seems generous.

There is a 1/2 bath included in your entrance fee. $100 gets you the master for an hour. (You can do a lot in an hour ya know!)

Oh Mary you need to check it out! The terrace alone makes it so unique. I had one facing away from the fountains, but it was still cool to hang out on. The rooms are awesome too, get in there! :cool:

I just called them up tonight. My last comp was for a Terrace, this one was only for a City View room. Well nobody stays at Cosmo to stay in a room without a terrace! I let him talk me into the $30 a night upgrade for a non-view terrace. Still can't beat $30 a night! (Only free!)

It's a great hotel for sure. I've been on a self imposed aria binge. I love that place so it gets 95% of my play and I get 100% rfb. Hard to break the cycle.

Heading to Vegas on March 17th... Booked Cosmo for the 17th and 18th, and then booked (Double booked on the 18th) for Aria, 18th, 19th and 20th, checking out the 21st. We have never actually stayed at Cosmo.. have used the room for my Daughter and our friends, but we have stayed at Aria our last 7 stays. I too upgraded for $30 a night. Aria beds have totally spoiled me.. but we we like Cosmo.. we will check into Aria and keep our stuff at Cosmo for the 2nd night.

Cosmo has been my main Vegas HQ since a few months after they opened -- though since they don't really seem to offer that much more to Platinum Identity members than they do to Gold, I may drop down a tier this year. They do provide a nice combo of lovely room/terrace, good food at all $ levels (from $5 pizza slice-of-heaven to $$$$ you-name-it), excellent drinks, and a vibe that makes me feel a little less ancient than I actually am. :)

The casino floor is relatively small; I think of it as a "two-night" property. And honestly, last year I got KILLDED there (whereas I've done quite well in previous years.) Also, there can be serious noise issues in the fountain view rooms on club nights, mostly from Chateau at Paris and Drai's at Cromwell. But still, it feels like "home" to me in a way that other properties just don't. (Though I have to confess, if Wynn/Encore still had Aruze games -- which were yanked out immediately after that whole kerfuffle between the Wynn board and Kazuo Okada, founder of Aruze -- then you might still be calling me a "Wynn Lady" now.)

I deeply regret staying at Delano on my last trip. (Details available on request. And not just for losing reasons.) Let's just say I am seriously looking forward to my Cosmo stay in April!

The Delano pillows were actually great! I made a joke about them when I reserved the room, and the guy laughed and laughed. Guess they really got an earful about them. And the Delano and MB staff I encountered were really nice. My issues had to do with noise, a major plumbing fail, and something valuable (prescription meds) stolen out of my suitcase in my room. Not good.

UPDATE: Meds were NOT stolen after all. Found them caught in the lining of my suitcase. Called Delano security to make sure they knew, and retracted my stolen-property report. Deepest apologies for my assumption that the hotel was at fault!

Theft could have been maintenance rather than housekeeping, but we'll never know. Has to be a good feeling to know that someone wasn't rummaging through your suitcase after all and didn't steal them. I'm sure you're not the first to report something that turned up later but it's great that you retracted it! Delano just made the news because they replaced their pillows, LOL! So glad as the previous ones were hard as rocks. Now if they would only replace the uncomfortable sofa and add something to make the rooms look less like a hospital.

I've gotten two Cosmo offers since mid-January. The first one was Feb 19 through March 18, and the second one was March 19th through April 15. That email was dated Feb 10. About the same as I usually get: three nights any night, $450 FP/$100 FB. But I haven't seen anything arrive yet for mid-April on. So it'll be interesting to see if the next offer is different in any way, given the Identity program changes that have taken effect in the meantime. Assuming there IS a next offer, that is.

I don't think you have been cut off. After I stayed last month, they sent me out a new offer about 10 days after the trip. The free play even went up on it a bit and like usual my terrace or studio suite is good on any day. My offer dates are: Valid February 26, 2015 - May 6, 2015.
I've noticed that sometimes their marketing department waits to send out new offers after the last one has expired or you just finished a trip with them. Other times they send out offers that have dates that overlap. Perhaps this quarter they are just waiting until offers expire or a trip has been completed, but I would be shocked if you don't get a new offer from them around March 25th or a week after.

When I've called up ahead of time before my new offer has arrived and been told there are no offers for me at that point, there's always one that later arrives. What I have noticed with Cosmo is their hosts don't have a lot of power to extend offers themselves upfront though are able of course to comp off the back end, so they always want their gamblers to wait and use a marketing offer.

However, if you are thinking of switching I suggest you consider Venetian/Palazzo. :)

Your status isn't lowly you did make Platinum with them! :) It's just a shame that they no longer have the fabulous VIP lounge on the 3rd floor they had for a year when they first opened. It was the best VIP lounge on the strip and now all I have are photos of it and memories, LMAO!

I have $1500 earmarked for Cosmo and am thinking of saving most of it to become established at Venitian/Palazzo. Maybe play around $500 during my Cosmo stay since my offers seem to be drying up anyway. If I do end up getting offers I'll rethink my plan. I also plan to charge all meals/drinks to the room so they see I am spending money. I use my checking cashing card at Wynn so I won't get my budget mixed up and dip into it. Also, I won't have to travel with additional cash on hand.

Cassie, actually at Cosmo its good to charge all meals and drinks to the room rather than using your cash card since each $1 spent there is worth 5 tier points. It's easier to get to their higher tiers by spending money on things other than gambling. I'm not sure though how that affect marketing offers.

Cosmo host i talked to were arrogant jerks and didnt seem to want to help this was prob a year ago. Only action they seemed to care about was if you played tables. Lost prob 1500-2k over a day and a half but couldnt take off $40 in food charges. Bs i thought.

I'll remind you at dinner (hope I remember for all of us) but if you aren't staying at Cosmo when we eat at e' you can still give them your identity card when paying so you get the tier points added to your account. It doesn't help with getting comped offers so much as it does in making it to Gold (or Platinum) so you can use the perk of the 2 free comp nights a year along with a free room for a companion too. That perk is not suppose to count against our comps unless they recently changed that policy or what I was told was incorrect.

These photos (click to enlarge) of the former VIP lounge are from Feb 2011 when Randy and I were Platinum at Cosmo. Once they took this VIP lounge away we weren't interested in maintaining Platinum status with Cosmo any longer. It's hard to tell from these photos but the lounge was huge, a lot larger then the Gold Venetian lounge for those who are familiar with that one. There was always hot appetizers being served and mini desserts and chocolate covered strawberries sitting out on the tables. Soft drinks and water were arranged on tables and there was butler service for the usual well type drinks but you could also order a complimentary Cosmopolitan, Chocolate Martini or Mojito type cocktail too. I guess it was too much of a good thing since they later grabbed it for a second high limit room that is more exclusive then the one on the main casino floor of Cosmopolitan. For a while they had a VIP lounge in a hospitality suite on a high floor in one of the towers but it was really not great and not in a convenient location at all. I'm not sure what they are using these days for a VIP lounge for Platinum.

Maybe I just haven't asked the right person yet, but as far as I know there is no VIP lounge for Identity Platinum members these days. Closest thing is probably the Talon high-limit room on the second floor East Tower next to the elevators, which has its own bar and comfy furniture. But I feel weird going in there knowing I have no intention of playing at those stakes. Table games too, not slots -- super scary! :)

I did that and when I checked in I was upgraded to a wrap around terrace suite.. Huge. I did not have to pay resort fees and I am only the 2nd from the bottom tier. This was in. March.. Thanks MNvegasgal! It's sure worth the $30 to upgrade, but not sure I want to pay the $30 resort fee on top of that for just a terrace room. But after seeing the Wrap Around that Ken had I would for sure pay $60 for that without blinking an eye! I'll have to see if I can get there during the offer period.

Here is what you are going to do! You are going to go, pay the resort fee and upgrade to the fountain view Terrace Studio and use the internet. Pay just shy under 2 hundy! I redeemed a offer for $285.00 on my trip last month at Cosmo. When I did it he said I could still use my 3 comped nights before the offer expires, but I wouldn't get the free play again if I booked those nights later, that I would have to wait for a new offer for more FP. It was funny because when I redeemed the free play without staying there, Gwen was with me and went on to him about none of the other casinos do that and I turned and asked her, are you trying to talk him out of doing it? LMAO!

I don't think she meant it the way it was sounding to me. ;) I was a bit nervous that it was too good to be true, especially since SDGuy was with me and didn't double book that trip because I told him he could still get his free play without doing that, whew! Cosmo did score a few points with me on that policy and I think whoever made the decision was smart as that way it prevents double booking and not leaving one of their rooms they could possibly sale empty due to someone just taking it to get the free play.

Just an FYI: Since I took my free play last month instead of also staying the 3 nights at Cosmo that came with it, I got a new offer today since that previous Cosmo offers expires in July. My new offer is 2 nights, weekend or weekdays (June 4th to August 12th) but my free play went down from $285.00 to $260.00. Since I only played there a couple hours after using the free play it didn't effect my comps that much so far for just coming in and taking the free play. I will be using those 2 nights and the free play during my July trip so perhaps it will bounce up higher after that trip.

I too have never chased card status by gambling more etc.. Overall your host looks at your years of play/history for perks and offers so hopefully you can still get the limo rides in the future.
