Slots earn more than VP which earns more than tables???? Is that how it works? I'm trying to convince a table blackjack player to join the group here and to visit Borgata. She knows that her BJ play is worth less than a slot player's play but would really like to play and stay at the B. She "occasionally" plays the slots to break things up (where we slots players would do the opposite). Is there any strategy for earning decent comps if you're a BJ player with several hours' worth of staying power at a table?

Generally, not sure about Borgata but at Harrahs Slots is $5per Pt VP is $10pr Pt and tables is a mystery based on what they see you betting and how long you play...I want to say in Vegas Harrahs does not even "Rate you" give you points for playing at a $5 table. The only strategy I have seen is to bet bigger when the pit boss is around and watching and go back down when they move to another table. If they have the RFID chips I think the rating is done by a computer, not shure which places use those chips, I think Wynn in Vegas does.
Yeah if there are no RFD chips, comps are going to be based on the pit boss entering info into the computer vs slots where it's all computerized. Slot players generally get best comps as so. (But we may lose the most, so it's deserved!)

Speaking of comp's & losing in AC... I had gotten $159 in comp money last weekend at Borgata. I made sure that I spent it all on different crap at 8:00 Sunday morning before I left : /

If you spent it in retail it was probably 2:1 comps, got burned on that before. $9 for Starbursts say what??
So on average you put through $15,900 in your time there. They will be all over you!

That figure may be for playing slots but I played vp 99% of the time that I was there which I believe receives less comp dollars for money put through. Yeah, there wasn't much open at 8am to spend those comp dollars on. I spent most of it at Borgata Bakery (shopping bag full of different gourmet pastries) and 2 coffee mugs from their trinket shop across from the bakery. I gave the bag full of pastries to my neighbor (I made her day!) because that shit would have just killed me to eat it. Haha!

Oh yeah that means you put in probably double that! Good choice on the bakery and for making a karma donation to your neighbor!

You may be right Kenny? I was playing 10 hand ddb @ .50 denomination = $25 per play for about 7 hours straight.
Added: Just rough figuring, I probably averaged around 400 plays per hr. x 7 hrs. would equal 2,800 plays @ $25 = $70,000 put through : /

You probably earned some decent slot dollars too, guess now you'll have to take advantage of an amazing offer in which I'm sure will be soon headed your way once marketing is aware!

I have been saying next time too often lately....I need to play more VP, played some with Foamy, find I like the ultimate X kind better that standard, a little more like slots. I'm sure the payback is not as high as regular VP but probably better than slots.

I get my best results on the older IGT's. Ultimate X I've tried but didn't like it. You can go to http://www.nj.gov/lps/ge/docs/Financials/Jackpot/JACKPOT_PUBLICATION.pdf and see for yourself which slots are winning the big money in AC. You'll notice that most of the big wins are on the older IGT vp's : )

Nice seeing you all there in AC last weekend. I only banked $92 in comp dollars at the Borgata. Guess it's calling me to come back and use 'em :)

How do you get to this site? I have always looked at the NJ Gaming report but never seen this. Is there data on jackpots under $75K? Thanks
Darrell

Sorry Darrell, this is the only "official" site that I know of for AC jackpot wins. How I originally found it was when I did a search for "Atlantic City Casino Jackpots".

My DH only plays table games, and he gets room offers from Borgata. He's the one who gets the buffet coupons, but not so much in FP.
