I took the photos Memorial Weekend 2013. I don't usually take pics of rooms etc in Las Vegas but I did that time. just to show the ridiculously large balcony we had lol
Also, the grounds are beautiful and those two pics were taken early morning. Not that it ever seems crowded at this off-Strip property. The casino is usually at its busiest
during drawings and promotions for the locals.

It is very pretty there. I just got an offer for Valentine's Day for a stay and tournament. Diamond 52 mentioned in KC that she got an offer maybe the same one. Since it has been years maybe i will get another one.

Gorgeous grounds, Mauretania! And that balcony -- wow, you could fit two normal hotel rooms onto it. This place was totally off my radar. Will have to check it out, thanks!

What a beautiful place Mauretania. Looks like an all inclusive place Sassycat and I stayed at in Costa Rica. Hard to believe such a nice place exists in the middle of the desert.

Yes, the balcony was huge and the weather was perfect which is why we had room service breakfast on the balcony. We never order room service unless one of us is ill LOL

Yes, the grounds and the pool area are beautiful the casino is smallish with plenty of old/new slots BUT lots of full-pay VP at all denominations. The locals seem to love the nickel VP progressives, always packed. The Suncoast Casino/Hotel is next door, the golf course sits between the two properties.

Did you happen to take any pictures of the hotel room itself? It looks like the type of place Sassy and I need to look into visiting some time. Sounds like video poker heaven at the casino as well. How are they at comps and taking care of you if you play a lot while you are there?

It actually was after the KC trip, so close but it was before the 14th. Seems like yesterday.
Did you have a corner room? It is a huge patio.

I didn't bother taking pictures of the rooms in that particular suite as it was like an apartment with a dining room, kitchen, living room, master bedroom, bath and foyer. This particular JW Marriott is unusual in that the majority of the room are actually one-bedroom suites (a separate bedroom off the living area) with wetbars. The decor is rather dated "traditional" nothing swank like the Bellagio/Wynn/Aria. I do have pictures that I took (at a friend's request) from the regular one-bedroom suite which I'll post.

Comps - It's really a local's casino with the usual monthly mailers. My monthly mailer offers consist of two nights in a standard room (not the suites) and free play (March amount is $119) and my husband's monthly offers are two nights in a standard room and free play (March amount is $250). We also get invites to their slot tournaments. We never book the monthly offers as I just email my host and she takes care of everything but she's been my host since 2006 when she was my host at Red Rock. I really only "moved" to Rampart because of her. I don't work with a host at the Strip properties but will, for my up-coming visit to Palazzo, in April.

No, it wasn't a corner room but at the front of the hotel, over the port cochere, I believe.

It's about a 25 minute drive from the Strip. The area is called Summerlin, NW of the Strip. What I usually do is, two nights on the Strip and two nights at Rampart or Red Rock (which is about 5 minutes away from Rampart).

Just to clarify, the actual room pics were from a one-bedroom suite and the large balcony pics were from a much larger suite - two different visits.

I had the pleasure of spending 2 nights there on last week and I loved it! I had a standard room and it was very well appointed and the bed was the most comfortable in Vegas, I swear! It is a much more relaxed peaceful environment than comparable strip properties.

And if you like video poker, you owe it to yourself to at least check it out.

Hello nighthawk66,
we have been there last October on a Friday night due to Treysters tip and heard Wonderboogie there at Addison´s Lounge performing R&B. Highly recommeded if you have the chance to see this band somewhere ! Their show on stage beside the good live music makes you groove.

The Friday night buffet was Seafood and Crab legs $ 19,99 with players card. I mention it just in case ... :hungry:

This was our 2-bedroom penthouse suite with wrap around balcony at the JW Marriott/Rampart where we stayed July 31 - Aug 3rd 2016. It measured 2000 sq ft. My best friend had her own room with jacuzzi and separate shower on one side of the living area and my room was on the opposite side.

Penguin, you might consider a split trip, a few days on the Strip and then a few days at a resort/casino in Summerlin. The best of both worlds:)

Evoni, I always picture you in a suite, but on the Strip somewhere :)

LOL, that's how I like to picture myself too! I'm not adverse to getting off strip and in the past have stayed at M-Resort a few times, but without the option of walking next door to another casino if bored, I can seem to only be happy one night off strip. I also like Lake Tahoe because it's so easy to walk from one casino to another there too.
