I do have an air offer too (866-484-4594) for Oct 30- Nov 3 but it is so close to the Coushatta Meet.
I don't think they would let me combine the freeplay ski pass weekend with the airfare (would be nice because it would give me about 1K in freeplay)

Yeah. As far as I'm aware the pool is opened year round. I don't think it closes at any point. I could be wrong. Best to check with them. But I've never seen it closed since most of the time. San Diego is more sunshine than not.

We may do some sightseeing in the San Diego area. It's been a while since we have been there. Thinking a day trip to the San Diego Zoo might be a good idea and if time allows maybe a trip across the border to Tiajuana. Is it safe to go? Do you think we would need to bring passports?

I've never been to TJ. Well I mean my mom claimed I went as a baby but I was too young to remember that. As far as passports go, yes you do need them to cross any boarder. You need them in order to get back in to the US. We no longer accept drivers licenses or ids as acceptable form oof identification to cross borders anymore. Not sure why, but they made that change a few years ago. The zoo is a great idea and it's actually about ten minutes from my apartment so you'd be near me. Haha . I think you guys should definitely sight see here. You're coming at the perfect time. If you do some research. There's this special thing we do called December Nights at Balboa Park. You may like that.

Thanks for the heads up about Tijuana. Kind of wanted to go but not bad enough to put my life in jeopardy. Sounds like it must be like Juarez which is just across the border from El Paso here in Texas. I sure we will find plenty of other fun stuff to do including spending time at the pool. I hear they have a nice one.

I however would absolutely not recommend going to Tijuana. I'm going to make a reservation while you're there just in case we can meet you. I'd also highly recommend going to the San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park. It's a lovely 19 mile drive from Harrahs and it's absolutely lovely!! It's also a much better drive than the one to the zoo.

sassycat, My personal opinion having been to both "The World Famous San Diego Zoo" and the Safari Park(Wild Animal Park), the Zoo is a much better place to visit. The drive is about 35 minutes or so from the hotel(i live about five to ten minutes from the zoo) and it is a much better property. Again, this is just my personal opinion. The Safari Park(Wild Animal Park) is incredibly lovely. No doubt about it. The tram they have is really awesome too...but I just think for the prices the Zoo is much better bang for your buck. I also will stress that I really don't think it'd be a good idea at all to go to TJ at this point.

Yes, I checked out the 7star experience and it was a nice time. Couldn't believe how many seven stars there was!! I was in a basic room and put in a ton of play!! Luckily wound up slightly ahead (but could have stopped much more ahead).

Just a quick update!!

Friday night @ Atlantis was a blast. It was a 5x comp point night and it was amazing how fast the points added up. I had a yummy dinner, spa treatment, breakfast and managed to leave with more points than I started with!

Yesterday I got a offer from Harrahs in Reno too even though I have never gambled in Reno and they are offering to fly me and a guest out next year for free. I've had the free flight offers from Laughlin before but this is the first time for Reno.

I went back this weekend to mainly get back out on the slopes and take advantage of $165 Macy's gift card and a combined $350 fp. I had a hunch the host might honor some expired fp vouchers since I have not taken many comps on my last few trips and what a great surprise he honored an additional $650fp from the previous couple of weeks!!

The fp lasted me most of the evening!

There was a big blackjack tourney going on (I wasn't invited :/)

Played a bit more. Broke even on the day and cycled a bit more coin in: had 3 more wheel spins each time $500 in (none larger than $3500), a VP hit, yummy dinner with my ski buddy comped at Friday station..

And, they let me shop for $1200 in ski store gear charged to the room/comped!!!

The hospitality hosts are so nice and helpful!!
