We were there last year in May and gave Council Bluffs (both at HS and Harrah's) for about 3 days and never really got any good offers. I think the most is $50 fsp and 1/2 off buffet. I figured it was because we went there on the paid airfare offer.

I don't think we have anything at Council Bluffs now. Sometimes if it has been over 13 months - CET will quit sending you offers for that property. I didn't get anything from Tunica after about 13-15 months of no visits there.

Are you still getting offers from Bossier City after your visit there last August?

So a month ago we go to Horseshoe in Council Bluffs for the very first time and meet up with Laurie and foamy. We play 10 hours and lose a thousand. NO offers for FP or F&B :(

Two weeks ago we go to Harrahs in Joliet for the very first time. Spent most of our time in our smoking room getting drunk and only gave them about 4 hours of play

Got an offer yesterday for $270 FP and $125 F&B. What gives?

That's CET for you. The time we went to Council Bluffs to meet up with Laurie and Foamy we never did get any decent offers from them. We played at both Harrah's and Horseshoe there and were planning on going back sometime if they had offered us some decent incentive to return. I guess they get all the business they want because they are not going out of there way to get any additional business from us. I guess they think where they are located they are the only game in town and already have too many customers.

Similarly when we play at Horseshoe Bossier we always get everything paid for without having to use rc's and we get generous gifts and freeplay. But if we go to Vegas offers are very inconsistent and they never comp meals for us unless they take all of our rc's first. Similar in Tahoe although freeplay there is better and of course my dw sassycat likes Tahoe much more.

These inconsistent offers from CET have always made no sense to us and remain as big a mystery as trying to figure out how they calculate ADT.

That is odd Gene, doesn't make much sense. I can only relate via my trips to Reno..... In feb I cycled $3k a day at El Dorado and get room discount/no fp. Did the same at Grand Sierra and get free nights AND $550/month fp. They are different properties, but it's still a significant margin between the 2.

CET isn't the only casino in CB. There is an Ameristar right there too but their offers for us were really bad. We used to stay there.
I play the same at KC and CB and I get more freeplay in CB. ?? Agree so inconsistent

When I went to Vegas in August I stayed at the LINQ and did most of my play there and Harrah's next door. I went through some $$$ for only a full day and half stay. I've only begun to receive offers and it is just for 2-5 night comp'd rooms at their various Vegas properties, no F&B or FP with the offers. The room offers were no different than before I went. ?????? Doesn't give me any incentive to go and stay/play there in Vegas. I got better offers from Harrah's in Biloxi and Tunica. Their offers at least included some FP, not much $50 but at least is was something.

We get great offers for FP from Horseshoe Cleveland. For Oct it is $165 per week. Our ADT is around 350 because of that heavy play for Diamond we did in the summer. Really not much they can offer except FP as we get comped rooms anyway. No real steak houses at this casino. Diamond dinner would be 4 free buffets.

The Horseshoe in Tunica seems to be where the best offers are right now. CET has a LOT of competition there. Not only are they offering me $400.00 FP from my one night stay there last July, but have sweetened the pot with $200.00 cash travel reimbursement.:)

Almost worth the 9 hour drive there. Plus free drinks in all Mississippi casinos!

We have not been to Tunica in over 2 years. We are not getting any offers from them at all anymore that I know of. We used to do junket trips there at least once a year and either they have discontinued them from our area or we have placed a higher priority to going somewhere else.

We get those type of insulting waste of time offers all the time. You would think that the marketing department would be smart enough to send only offers that make sense to 7 star players like yourself and my dw sassycat instead of wasting time and effort sending out stuff that accomplishes nothing. Additionally since we have been playing on my card quite a bit lately since she has already reached 7 star I am starting to get almost as much freeplay as her at our local. And in the last month Horseshoe BC also gave me the same freebies she got: free google chrome laptop and bedding set ($300 at Macy's). She has about 175,000 tc's and I barely have over 15,000 tc's. I really don't think I deserve it but if they are going to give it to me I will take it. Some times what they do makes no sense and when we can we take advantage as much as possible.

LOL i used to get some free rooms at CB at both props. and 1/2 off meals. nothing for oct when i checked yesterday when i stopped to get free diamond lounge meal and havent seen anything in mail. Took $400 outta their sun and moon in HL Room so they prob made i cashed and dashed.

Awhile back there was a pole of where everyone wanted to meet up at and I think CB came in second place. Maybe we can do a small one there sometime next year? We really liked both of the diamond lounges there and the GM lounge was also very nice. And if you are diamond card or above all drinks are free in the lounges and in the casinos. We stayed at Harrah's and even though the rooms were a bit dated they have a walking / jogging path outside that we used every morning. Casino at Harrah's tiny so we would probably do most of our gaming at Horseshoe. We would definitely try to meet up if we have enough notice ahead of time.

I would love a small meet at Council Bluffs. I was just thinking that after reading dvandentop's trip report there, and hearing about all of the old Aristos they have at Ameristar. I'd probably stay at Harrah's for the free rooms, but definitely spend considerable time at Ameristar for that reason.

Anyone interested in a January meet?

Superbowl weekend might be a tight window for us. We are meeting up with friends at Bossier City end of January and anniversary trip to Tahoe mid February. And Super Bowl is Feb. 7th. We may have to catch Council Bluffs some other time. We were thinking of a trip there some time in April once things have thawed out around there. That way the carp will we fresh so Foamy and I can get our carp sandwiches.

That was the same offer that I got last year and used it dwwright12. The booked the air for me too. We played quite a bit there but haven't got any really good offers since.

Unlike the Venetian/Palazzo in Vegas, where my offers remain consistent with $350 FP every week for 5 straight years, CET cuts my offers down once they think they have me hooked.

Harrahs in KC has dropped me from $250 FP and $200 cash for travel, down to $150 FP and no cash for travel, even though my play always remains the same,(1,000 TR points each visit).

Horseshoe in Hammond has dropped me from $400 FP a week to $140 and my play has remained the same there also.

The whole concept with CET's marketing strategy, leaves me quite puzzled lol.

For Tahoe just call Northern Nevada Air. They'll reimburse you. Especially after your Tahoe trip.

I just got an email from CET offing me one free drink at the bar of my choice at any of their casinos in Vegas as their way of saying Happy Birthday good any time in the month of November. That was it. No free room, no free play, no offer of a meal. Don't they know my wife is a 7 star cardholder and my play is secondary to hers? My home property in Bossier City is offering 6000 rc's plus some additional free play as a b-day gift. Why do they think I would be wowed to take a trip to Vegas for a drink at the bar? Besides I am diamond level myself and in addition to being able to get a free drink anytime I want while I am playing I can get a free one anyway at any of their diamond lounges. Whoever does the marketing for Vegas IMO is an absolute idiot.

Additionally I have been reading where Ceasar's in Vegas is making their premiere New Years Eve event Arianna Grande. This traditionally is an event that you don't buy tickets to but are invited to and comped as either upper level diamond or 7 star. How many of these type of players are going to want to see Arrianna Grande? The only thing I can think of is that this year they are planning on selling tickets to the younger crowd that would love to see her because the over 40 crowd who make up the majority of their biggest players for the most part are probably not that familiar with her.

CET's total rewards program is the best in the industry. But some of their marketing efforts that they do in conjunction with it make absolutely no sense to me.

MrsPenguin just got her offers from Cleveland Horseshoe for November. Just like October, $120 on Fridays plus $65 on any other day of week. Free rooms so guess we'll be double dipping on Thur or Fri nights. Headed up there today to collect our $120 FP. All of this still comes from the 5 week splurge where we went 1000TC, 1000TC and then 2500TC in 3 trips. So far we've had 3 or 4 free trips on their offers. Four more scheduled. Got to game the system. Sure hope the bonus stuff stays same for 2016. BTW only have 15700 TC. Just came back from AC at no cost for 3 days. Of course when MrsPenguin hit 14 (yes--14) Buffaloes that really brought us back!!!! Guess it gets really hard to determine the cost of Diamond when all the extra stuff comes in for months. We do find that Cleveland is generous on their FP.

I think it goes by points earned, which means regardless of your bankroll, you have to keep winning and keep bumping up those points to get good offers? That is how I feel at my locals of why I keep getting consistent or higher offers. However, my local harrahs which I am about to explain below, which is with TR..not sure how they do it because of the reason I am explaining below..

2 times this year I got offers in the mail for harrahs so cal due to playing in vegas at RIO in december (I find it weird how I would get offers for mystery free play for harras so cal if I have never been there before) and it was both times mystery free play offer of $60 to $500 free play. The first time I got 75 and the 2nd time 85. My first trip I played a bit after my free play was done and got no regular offers in the mail for harrahs so cal (also takes a while to get 1 point). My 2nd trip after my free play was done, went to valley view by city local bus to receive my cash offer from there I got in the mail from my 1st trip at that casino, played a bit, went back to harrahs to play for 20 minutes before the shuttle bus left to head home spending 40 bucks of winnings not winning anything and not getting many points. Then for the next month (this month, went to harrahs last month) finally got offers in the mail for harrahs $10 free play every 2-3 days, 1 free buffet every week, $70 for rooms. I do not know how I got these offers, especially the 1 free buffet per week if I did not get many points (probably like 12 points I got my last trip I think or maybe a tiny bit more). Maybe its because its my first actual real offer? I don't know.

I have had the same issues too. My local being Harrah's Ak-Chin isn't too bad- although if I go too much they lower my offers, but then one time I went every week for a month and my offers went up- so odd.

The worst in my opinion is Horseshoe Hammond for inconsistency. While I don't live close to there, I go there about once per year sometimes more when I go to visit family in the area. I usually give them at least 500 tier points in a visit. I never get any offers at all. Then all of the sudden last year they started sending me the regular booklets with offers, was getting $100 in freeplay each week. I just happened to have to go to Chicago anyway and used the freeplay, and had another trip planned 2 months after. Gave them decent play- then my offer went to $200 every 2 days, and you could overlap. So when I was there in April I used that and gave them a lot of play. Since then , 18 months ago not a single offer again.
