I plan on playing VP next week and was wondering where I could find out the difference in all the games? I've been practicing DDB but wonder why some just like Double Bonus or whatever. JOB just doesn't do it for me...I want a shot at a BIG win...

Go to videopoker.com or freeslots.com. IMO freeslots has the best free training program but videopoker.com has more games to play such as multihand ult X and STP and just about any game you will find in the casino. On both you can play a variety pf variations such as JOB, BP, DW, DB, And DDB. Hope this helps.
Also vpfree2.com is great for looking at paytables. You can get a feel for how volatile you like to go.
Personally if I'm playing a lower denomination I like DDB, like getting the 4 aces with the kicker win, and it still lets me play a decent amount. if I'm playing a higher denomination I like getting the 2x bet for 2 pair so play bonus poker- still get the big 4 aces win but it will let me play a lot longer. I occasionally will go to triple double bonus since you can get a 4000 coin hit without a royal but getting shorted on 3 of a kind can hurt after a while.
Also good to look at the casino you are going to and see what are their best games before you go as far as paybacks. A lot of casinos will have the same games in different places but some have better paytables than they do on the other side of the casino.

I use video poker.com to train and vpfree to find the machines at the casinos with better payables. That being said, I know JOB is boring, but it is tried and true and your BR will last longer. Last month in Vegas, I hit two royals in 3 hours playing $1.00 max bet = $5.00. Both paid out $4000.00. Later that night, when the alcohol kicked in, played $5.00 vp max bet = $25.00 and some fifty hand @$62.50. No HP's but a couple just under.

At Harrah's NOLA the best VP machines are against the rail just inside the HLR. They are triple play $1 or higher so to ensure maximum return you have to pay at least $15 a pull. But last time I was there those machines had 9/6 JOB, 8/5 BP, and 9/6 DDB. There are only 3 or 4 of them and at times they can be hard to get on. Most of the other VP there is across from BESH Steakhouse.
