Here is the daily feeding schedule..
Morning: Dental treats.
Afternoon: Digestion and fur treats and half can of cat food accented by regular treats.
Evening: Rest of cat food.
Bedtime: Dental treats.
Repeat. I think I am ready!

Hi kit looking good
As we are entering into the slow season at work I've been getting home at 4pm and he gives me crap immediately when I get in the door for food. Then I make him wait like 15 minutes before I eat and he is relentless until the food goes in the bowl. I'm sure also taking selfies was not in his game plan! Haha

Haha, Oh Kitman doesn't like Lil Ollie too much. He constantly hisses and growls at him. If you have Ollie out of his little play pen Kit will not even let you touch him without growling at you and batting lol. He will eventually adjust I'm sure! It is funny as soon as you put Oliver to sleep in his bed there Kit goes back to normal and lets you pet and hold him haha. Out of sight out of mind I guess!
Oliver's teeth finally came in I was told this morning too! So he is making progress!

Think of the Kitman tonight. The past several days he hasn't been eating and was very lax. He is spending the night at the vet so they can keep an eye on him. Blood work came back good and they are giving him meds to calm his stomach and hopefully get him to eat something. Miss you Kitman and get well soon!

We are thinking it's an infection of some sort. They were concerned it was the kidney's, but the blood work didn't show that. He would kind of give off like he had a hair ball, you would hear some flem, but nothing would come out. They are giving him antibiotics, so hoping that helps. The funny thing is that he was humping the fleece blanket, a lot..haha Something he hasn't done since he was neutered. Poor guy!

He was on top of whatever else he has going on. It was so sad he would try to hiss, but nothing would come out! They said his throat was sore too. But they don't think it was anything he would have given to him, which is good. Ollie is like "I'm innocent!"

It sure sounds like an upper respiratory infection. Several of our cats have had it before and they just kind of lay around and sleep - hardly eating at all or no interest in eating. After a few days the antibiotic should kick in and the meantime - I would try to get him to drink tuna juice or eat some type of meat baby food. No matter how sick my cats have been - they have always licked at the baby food and got some good nutrients.
That's a good tip Sassy, Thanks! I tried chicken broth, but he wasn't into that either. Then some fish, nope. He would go through all the motions of wanting to eat, but then would just turn his head. We'll see what the vet says tomorrow and go from there. Kit thanks you all for the support!

Oh no. Hope Kit feels better soon. Rambo (our Siamese in the pic) was sick the last couple of days with vomiting & the runs. Luckily he is much better today. Obviously something he ate. But as others have mentioned, sounds like Kit has some kind of respiratory thing going on. Get better Kit!

Credz heard back from the vet this morning. He is not eating on his own or using the litter box yet. They force fed him 3 TBSP of food. If he uses the litter box, they will give antibiotics and send him home. They want to be sure he does to verify that the kidney isn't involved. Come on Kitman, please pee for us! Haha

..Meanwhile Ollie is living in the bathroom until he can make it in the litter box. He knows to go to it, but then pees next to it. Kinda funny! I'll be home in about an hour to rescue him from the monotony of the bathroom. And the bathroom is borderline with the main hall right when you enter the building. Neighbors probably think there is a problem with a kitty in there!

If he still isn't moving much down there, he is going to ask them if he should keep them there another night. Better to have all day care rather than just the evening until he rebounds.
Yes, Ollie is able to eat wet kitten food by himself, so he's able to make it through the day and night without bottle feeding. Just chilling in the bathroom till I get home!

Hey it happens! He has made progress, he went in the box and I saw him go to it to do his business. He soon might be certifiable!
Kit update, he has eaten about 5 bites of food. They are going to keep him another night to be sure everything starts moving, probably a good thing!
Yes, that is a good thing to keep him there. A good sign that he has at least eaten a little something. Hope tomorrow brings good news for our Kitman.

Just saw this today, so glad he's feeling better and home now! FYI, if you ever need to feed baby food to a cat be sure and read the ingredients. Some of them contain garlic and onions and those are toxic to cats.

A viral infection they do believe. He's still coughing up a bit, but now he's getting things out. He's pretty much back to his normal self, just not eating hard food yet. I still went through the motions of going to the closet and pretending to put some in his dish. He followed me as he usually does, just didn't eat it..hehe

Well Kit is almost back to his normal self, started eating hard cat food again this morning. Still doesn't roll around and let me rub his belly yet, but I'm sure it's coming.
Ollie is 3/4 litter trained. As long as he is in the general area, he sees it as fit. But he's getting there!
Overall, all is well! :)

For the most part, yeah he is! He's a little hoarse lately, but he's rolling around and playing with Ollie now. He's never had a play mate, so it's funny to watch!

OH goodness Ken I'm so sorry I am just seeing that poor Kitman was sick. Thank goodness he's ok and was just an URI. The new guy is soooooo darn cute and I think they'll be great friends. I made sure Ollie was there, and left the apartment at 5:30am. Credz got home shortly before I did around 4:45pm and Kitman was stuck in my bedroom all day! He went to the litter box and left a lake..haha So I made sure when I left today he was visible. Oops! :emptiness:

Kitman update! Kitman has feline asthma. Friday night he was having a tough time breathing and to a point it was getting scary, so Credz rushed him to the emergency vet where he spent the night. Everything we can tell is that we tried a different type of litter, to save $2, which ended up being extra dusty and most likely flared the asthma up. Save $2 to cost $1k in an emergency vet bill. Lesson learned! He's back to himself, however when given the medication he goes back into a wheezing fit for about 30 minutes, but is then fine again. We spent the morning doing a good sweep to get up any additional pet dander to hopefully help him out. That guy can't catch a break that's for sure! Go Team Kitman!

It was a store brand which we just figured we would try it as it was almost in the same container as Tidy Cat. Now that we know, it makes sense as he has wheezed in the past and we just assumed he had a hair ball. Definitely good to know and won't be changing up the litter.

It is only temporary for now, what was diagnosed by the emergency vet. He has to go back to the normal vet to get their opinion next. Then we have Ollie who needs neutered, but hoping to get this taken care of first and then get him there as well. He's humping poor Kit and he is just trying to breath! Haha It's a madhouse around here!

Found this one on my phone, look at the Kit Man! And the late beloved Mimer with the stern look on her face. She was such an awesome cat. I will always remember I moved her into my apartment and she howled the whole way in and ironically it was Halloween night. Good memories for sure!

The last few nights I’ve been awoken by leg spasms in my healing leg. I get up and walk out to the living room to shake it off. There is Kitman..never sleeping..apparently just keeping eye for strangers and such!
