Hello from East Texas

Hello everyone! I'm Brandon. Some of you might recognize me from the other world, but I just thought I would join Joker's and get to know everyone here as well. You can never have too many friends. I live in Longview, TX. Longview is about 60 miles east of the Shreveport/Bossier area. My local norm is Choctaw Grant in Oklahoma. I do sometime visit Choctaw Durant and Winstar, but am finding myself very rarely going to Shreveport anymore. I just find Oklahoma casinos so much more fun (go red screens!). I have yet to visit Vegas, but I know it will be coming soon.

One day about a year ago I came across Evoni on Youtube and that was the day I really feel in love with slots. Of course I was slotting before then, but when I came across her Youtube page I stayed up all night watching her videos. I just found it so awesome. Then I started exploring other YT pages as well, and by that point I was hooked.

Howdy neighbor. Glad to see you posting over here. We live less than an hour away from Longview and drive right by you on our way to our home property Horseshoe Bossier City.

Thanks SMR! At one time I considered Horseshoe my home property, but that is no longer the case. I would rather drive an extra 30 minutes up to Oklahoma to have several more hours of fun over driving to the SBC area. It is just torture for me over east of the river now.

Horseshoe is either hot or cold. We have had some great winning trips there but we have also came home with our tails tucked between our legs on many occasions. The main reason we play there is that in addition to it being a nice property it provides a gateway to all of the other CET properties so we can utilize all of the benefits of their Total Rewards program including almost unlimited free travel to their properties that are located at most of our favorite places around the country. Brandon, do the casinos in OKLA have a decent selection of video poker? We have never been to any of them. And if you play any video poker do they have decent pay tables?

As far as VP the only thing I can tell you is that I know they have them, but not like the amounts in the casinos of SBC area. I do not play VP so I would not really be the person to ask on that. I am sorry.

The (main) reason I go to Oklahoma is for the $1 and $5 VGT machines with the red screens. I love the feeling I get when I see my screen turn red especially after a few drinks in me.

Welcome to the forum, Brandon! I live in San Antonio, so I have a long drive (5 to 6 hours) to either Louisiana or Oklahoma. I have been to Choctaw Grant several times and I do like the selection of machines there even if it is a smaller casino. I always hit the row of Buffalo and Timberwolf and Wonder4 there.

Hi Brandon! Always nice to see another Texan! Glad you found us! I love Winstar and try to get up there about twice a year. I have been to Choctaw Durant and really liked it. I want to try horseshoe because I want to start getting TR points (with advice from sassycat and seemoreroyals) We call Coushatta and the Lake Charles casinos home since we are close to Houston.

I would love a meet in OK sometime!
