It's been a long while, but I was so happy to know you're all still here! Currently living in VA while DH deals with several health issues. Nope, not on the open road, but should be back at it in the near future.

Haven't been to a casino in a long while, but since last I saw you all, we aren't the lowliest of rollers anymore; more like $1 bets! Big change for us, to be sure.

Sorry to hear of the goings on, but glad you all landed on your feet. Can't wait to catch up on my reading.

PS. My biggest news of all is my first granddaughter, Tallulah Clementine, was born 11 months ago! Will post a pic soon.

Thanks for the amazing welcomes, live seeing you all! Yes, Treyster, DH still plays Pompeii exclusively, and I have been playing Aristocrat only, with a Konami thrown in once in awhile for variety. I know it can seem impossible, but it can be done. I take it you still have the truck? I always look for green trucks when I go by the Love's near us.

Yep, metformin, and he hates it, trying to get something else, but it's working. The diet is going ok, between that and some exercise, he has lost 20#. The diet (diabetic plus the hypertension) will be harder once we are back on the road, but we are determined!

What a cutie!!

My mom was officially diagnosed w/ type 2 last summer, after denying it for 10 years. She hates the metformin, too, says it makes her burp. If not for her partial blindness caused by 10 years (probably more) being not just uncontrolled but actively trying to kill herself with carbs, she would still be insisting that she's not diabetic since she eats lots of sugar and she's not dead.
