So I am going to finally play this Sunday night. I tried last time but I could never get an open machine. I will wait forever this time if I have to. My question, what is your favorite version?

i think the asian one with cats and also sahara version. they both have either hold and spin or the free spins with added row of wilds.


the vegas version just gives free spins but usually the chance at hitting the hold and spin bonus within.


i am guessing some have their pieces that are better then the other ones.

but i like the expandind wilds rows on asian cat style one

I noticed at Pechanga when I played these games that at least for me, the Mermaid one bonused all the time. But at Bellagio, I could not get any of them to bonus, and believe me, I tried.

I have tried them all with varying degrees of success. Meaning no success on any of them at Mohegan Sun (they only have Mermaid and I think the cat one), and pretty good results on all of them at Cosmo who has at least 4 versions. I did best there on the Vegas & Mermaid ones. I can't remember where else I may have played them.

But the bigger question for me is What denomination makes the most sense? I've been playing nickels at $1.25 a spin and hit the Major once, and the mini many times. But I noticed several wins lately by folks playing pennies with different multipliers (@Evoni) and getting the major. So now I am not sure which way I want to play next time.

These games are incredibly spotty and lots dry streaks compared to a normal game it seems. When they are hot they are hot but when they are cold you are in for a long ride. Lol.

I like dime or nickel version best but then again that cuts pays to only 25lines so

Either 25 nickels or 150 pennies seems to give the best coin values. Never tried 25 dimes as it is too expensive.

The last time I went to a casino I watched people play these and I've never seen machines hit bonuses as frequently as these were that night. It was unreal.

Coin values on dimes don't seem to be much getting at 25 line bet but it does add up if you can get the dumb spin bonus to even happen.

They have a bank of five at Horseshoe Bossier. We were there Friday and they were constantly busy. My friend waited till after midnight and finally got on one. She stayed up all night and played. Her DH had to drag her off at 8:30 sat morning.

I have won the most on Happy Lantern but have also had good wins on Sahara Gold, the Mermaids and the Vegas theme one I found at Palazzo.

I have a big win video on my channel that posted Monday on a dollar bet when I was playing it at Cosmopolitan. I have some bigger wins I'll be uploading next week and the following week from Palazzo. For me the sweet spot with bets on these slots have been the penny denomination at $1.50, though I had that really nice big win on a dollar too.

So far I think I've been freakishly lucky on Lightning Link games and I'm just crossing my fingers this continues when I return to Vegas this month!

Brandon, I hope you have luck on these! We love them and have some bonuses posted on our YouTube page in all denominations (shameless plug, HHH!) my favorite is the Vegas version in nickels, but I couldn't get on the Sahara version our last two trips.
Hubby likes lantern version. Mermaids seem to be the stingiest from our experience. My parents had awesome luck on lantern and Vegas versions this past weekend on min bet, even getting $50 balls on multiple rounds!
