The final presidential debate: Las Vegas (Wednesday, October 19)

We're starting to look at dates for our October visit to Las Vegas, and noticed that the week of October 16 will be the week to avoid, as the final presidential debate is scheduled there for that Wednesday, October 19. Just a heads up for anybody thinking of mid-October!

Thanks. We're flying into Vegas Oct 18 but driving to Sedona right away. Getting back to Vegas 21st.

Fortunately, the debate is at UNLV and not a Strip property

We are heading in on October 21st (Keith Urban at T mobile arena) and leaving on the 24th. We got stuck once on LV boulevard while Clinton was heading to the airport.. All roads shut down and no in or out to airport for an hour.. I almost wet my pants as it was supposed to be a 10 minute drive. What a giant cluster.

We've been hit twice with Obama flying in. Still don't understand why they don't use Nellis. Must be some reason or an ego thing.

I was also thinking that the hotels and restaurants will be full of media and attendees. I'd hate to get bumped from my comped suite by somebody who is willing to pay!
