So I guess this will change our Strip hotel hopping to see shows, concerts, visit restaurants and different casinos :miserable:

Eva if y'all can afford to drive a rental in L V then good for y'all . to me if ya can afford to do that and pay all the B S parking fee's and tips It would Seem like it makes taking a cab to places in Las Vegas or on the Strip more reasonable and leave the car rental alone . now that said if you and Wolfgang are planing to go outside L V to some sight seeing then a car rental, tips and fees are just part of the deal when you are going on a trip like this .

Is $10/day going to change my trips? Not likely.
However the new aggravation might change my thinking.
Just a matter of time before everyone else falls in line.

Eva I totally understand your frustration. You and Wolfgang spend a lot of time moving about and seeing lots of places etc. that 10 per place adds up. Keith and I used to always rent so he could use the car to golf. He canned last time and will use Lyft the next go round since we have finally figured it out and had a good experience with it. I think we are done renting in Vegas :(

It says if you are Pearl or above with MLife, you get free self parking at least. If lowly ol' me can be Pearl, anyone can!!! HHH!!!

Examples from the FAQ :
- If a Valet customer returns the same day will he be charged again?
Yes. Valet is a fee for service. Unless you are a Registered Hotel Guest, once you leave you will pay again if you return and use the service again.
- Can my parking be comp’ed if I make a large purchase at a retail or restaurant outlet?
No, complimentary parking is a benefit available through the M life program.
- Are two-wheeled vehicles subject to parking fees?
No. Motorcycles are not subject to parking fees. Motorcycles should drive around entry and exit gates without pulling a parking ticket.
I guess I should become a biker :sneakiness:

I guess getting tunneled from the airport and paying seven dollars extra just to get to my hotel doesn't seem so bad now lol.

if this keeps you from renting a car then give Uber or Lyft a try. I find both are very inexpensive in getting me around Vegas as their rates are much lower then taxis. So far I have not had to wait more then 3 minutes for my ride to show up and the app tells me who is picking me up with their photo and gives me details on the car they are driving. If you get a driver who you think took you a longer route then you just report them to Uber or Lyft and they will check the car's GPS and refund your money if they took a longer route then they should have.

Glad they decided to go this route now. To my mind, they should have either chucked in free parking at the hotel as part of the god forsaken resort fee for guests or made it a MILF perk. The latter is plenty fine.
Should make it much easier to park now.

You can still strip hop taking the bus with a day pass or parking at a casino that has free parking and hopping that way. Walking a mile around and back with a break at each casino is not going to hurt. You will also get your exercise in for the day too this way. :)
I give it 6 months before CET / Wynncore / Venetian/Palazzo / TI /..etc introduces paid parking structures. They won't want people parking for free and then walking to rival properties. Plus it's another income source, why not!

The day is coming when you will be charged for checking in/out if you use the front desk instead of a kiosk.
The day is coming when there will be a charge to drop off/pick up using a cab, Uber, or Lyft.
Etc etc etc

Shhh Trey. Don't give 'em any ideas. One will start a fee of some kind, get away with it, and the rest will follow.

I already wonder how small the the Valet tips will be when you have to pay to have them park your car.

I agree- the check in fee is next. You can pay for "full service" check in or avoid the fee by using the automated system. Although unless you can use the Diamond or VIP check in areas the lines are insane whenever I go for the check in areas and I would rather avoid it. Isn't there already one if you talk to a live person for a reservation or did that not go over well?

I hate they are charging fees, but we all knew it was coming. Just add that to the resort fees for things people never use.
