According to a message on the Silver Striker board:

On 5/12/2016:

"The Mirage will still be pulling the strike machines tomorrow morning.. They have just found out that they cannot sell the tokens per gaming regulation. "

"Unfortunately the popularity of the tokens has fallen so much that it has become labor intensive for us.."

So, one less reason for me to stay at the Mirage.

Are the old tokens from the 70/80's that I have considered silver strikes.

With the removal of the machines at the Mirage, Las Vegas has Silver Strike machines at the following casinos

Four Queens - 8
El Cortez - 1
Venetian - 1
Palazzo - 1
Sam's Town - 1

I have gotten Silver Strikes at the Mirage and traded them in for the $300. I have the 11 character version and the 14 character version.

Sam's Town's machine is notoriously "tight".
