I’ll be fine. Getting to 10 posts is going to be challenging though.

Is it worth it? Maybe it is. That way I can escape the uppity and often times make believe world and posts of another Las Vegas centric board I probably need to stop frequenting again.

We think so we have made life long friends on this forum. What Midwest casinos do you frequent? We live in Iowa.

People on here post trip reports from all over - not just Vegas. Atlantic City, Biloxi. Tahoe, etc. once you have the 10 posts you can view the Wins and Trips posts.

I don't really frequent any per se. The one that comes to mind since it it fairly convenient for me is Riverside Casino. On occasion they will get Japanese, Australian and domesticated Wagyu. When they fly in flash frozen snapper it is often times fresher than I can get when I'm in Florida. That group owns several casinos, one relatively close (3 hours) to Chicago.

This post would represent 9 posts. It's almost like shorting CZR, but not quite.

Isle in Waterloo had very good baccarat (midi, touch the card, higher limits), unfortunately like a lot of CZR Midwest casinos after the covid situation the dining has deteriorated. Not much left in Waterloo to my knowledge.

Quad Cities? I'd go the the one my friends own.

I have some experience and history in legal (most recently) gambling in Iowa. I quietly actually helped legalize sportsbook in Iowa, and gave some advice to some folks in Illinois I know. It goes back further than legal sportsbook, but I'll leave that part alone and unposted.

Omaha area I would go if it worked out on a football road trip to Lincoln. I mostly drive in and out the same day if I do that football road trip, and if I stayed it would be Thanksgiving night, so I've never been. Black Friday game is locked into future schedule also.

Kansas City and St. Louis I frequent, but I don't spend much time in casinos there.

What I would like to see is a non stop flight somewhere within reasonable distance to me that went to ACY. I'm not sure that I don't like ACY more than LAS these days. ACY doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't, I am very comfortable around NYC personalities, and I have others things I can do when I want to escape the casino. What I don't have is a easy way to get to ACY.

Tried the LV board a while back during the Rona years . Defiantly a uppity bunch for sure . i asked a general question about something and was Immediately told by the MOD i couldn't say stuff like that . Trust me we have no issues here on JWE like that .

I know some things factually that might surprise some over there. It certainly wouldn't help their fantastical narratives.

I'm not here to relitigate something where I already have a fact based understanding and where I considered actaul facts from both sides, I'm here to get away from exactly that.

In case I'm not being clear, I agree with you.

I think I'm pretty smart. I know I know a lot of people. One thing I know is what I don't know, and there is a lot I don't know. When I don't know, I don't act like I do know. And I certainly understand everyone has the right to whatever they think. Some even have the right to censor if they don't cross the line in the one part of federal code that governs that. I don't need to be a part of that to the extent possible.

It's unfortunate becuase there are some who have good and credible information. Unfortunately there is a lot of innuendo about certain casinos owners, some who I happen to know. The innuendo very clearly appears to be almost exclusively political in nature, as does the moderation. I really don't want to read made up things about people who I know, and I understand no one cares to read my political opinions, but I do wish they'd understand I don't want to read their thinly veiled, often inaccurate snarky political takes.

That's the one thing we steer clear of here on JWE . no political posts . really if you think about it there's no need for it . lots of other stuff to talk about .
