I do go to attempt to win, but gambling is a negative expectation game.

Anyway, I am determined to get "as much" as I can out of my spend (losses).

It seems like the last two years, I have been targeting the holiday gift events, such as V/P (GGE), mLife (HGS) and most recently CET (GGWU).

This year I will have about $3,000 in points to spend between HGS and GGWU. HGS thanks to myVegas, and GGWU thanks to bonus events.

The gift events are in November (3-7) and December (11/30-12/4)

I realize that I have the flexibility since I am only an hour flight away from LV (GGWU points are only earnable Nevada and West)

Does anyone else use this to schedule their trips?

Next year I am thinking of focusing on GGWU bonus events.

The holiday gift show that Venetian/Palazzo has around Thanksgiving is the reason my family mainly goes to Vegas the last few years at this time, it's too good a perk to pass up since I usually get at least $700.00 of gift cards out of it so I do have a targeted strategy for that trip. :)
