I remember reading that in the Top Dollar bonus that it gives you some kind of "clue" when the highest offer comes up. Like it says something in that little window. Can anyone tell me what it says or does? I can't remember. :-(

I think it says something like "best offer" or "try again". So they say..hehe

Top Dollar will give you a clue if you wait for it to pop up that indicates what the best play might be, however it's just advising you it might be your best play to take offer or try again. Many times if has told me to try again and my offers just continue to decrease.

After about 30 seconds of waiting (depending on the age of the machine) an arrow points or a best play starts flashing. As Diana said, we've had it mislead us (as happened to us at the Soaring Eagle M&G several years ago in the HL room). On a standard TD machine, anything over 35 credits should be considered. I think the best play indicator is just an average pay indicator and does not imply the machine knows the next offer IMO.

Yeah, don't go with the "clue".

Going with your feelings is the best choice.

Thanks guys. I thought it would tell the truth. I just saw someone hit $3600 on a $5 two coin this weekend. The ladies husband wanted to try again and she hit his hand out of the way and took the offer.

Her husband would have made a bad move to turn that down

IMHO, that is an "urban legend". AFAIK, slot machines do NOT "tip you off" like that. Just like people playing 88 Fortunes with the pot at the top that "fills" believe that it has to be "full" when it hits are mistaken. I've had the bonus hit three or four pulls after the bonus hit and the pot wasn't full.

The machine actually does suggest whether to take the offer or not. Whether it is right, that is another story.

That pot doesn't mean anything for sure. It's certainly a random bonus.

yeah exactly, I play 88 fortunes too and I have gotten the pot like 3 times within 5 minutes with the pot barely full. I have also been on it for over 10 minutes with a full pot and finally opened. Last time I went to the casino with a big fortune 88 slot (one on a big screen) next to where I was playing, like 5 or more people were on and off of it with a full pot before it finally opened up. Some of them were betting high too. It is just like walking around and seeing a major jackpot almost at its max ready to hit like on those quick strike konami slots and then spend a bunch of money with it still not hitting. Also even if jackpot is low, it can still hit. Anything can happen at anytime regardless. We have to just listen to our feelings.

Have to be patient. Usually when I play the babies, I go to the one with the pot that is full the most if there are a lot open. I don't usually go on the one with the pot that just opened or one that someone just bonus on or cashed out at a lot of credits.
