It's funny the picture is a Boeing 737 and the article references the MD-80. Low cost transpires into their maintenance program apparently and that's never a good thing.

That is a little unsettling. Their fleet is by far the oldest in the US, and it is tough to maintain planes that old.

I was surprised to see that Spirit has one of the youngest fleets - who knew?

Yeah I read it haven't had any in air incidents but have had my share of delays cause of shit

Can't believe they can't start phasing out a majority of their fleet with even some newer models

I wonder what their financials look like. What percent compared to other carriers is spent on maintenence.
