I've been watching the "I am Dan Bell" channel on YouTube for a few years as he explored abandoned malls in his Dead Mall Series. He is now doing "Another Dirty Room" exploring hotels with poor reviews on Trip Advisor. I am finding it quite fascinating as we all have pretty much stayed in a fair number of hotel rooms across the US. Here are the first three episodes..

im sure the casinos are fine .they cant afford any issues like that .

America best value . (usually a failed best western) hole in the wall for sure . we would use them to have a place to party some times . bath tub makes for one hell of a big cooler .

Back when i lived in Charleston SC . if i needed a room i would stay at Knights inn . 18.00+ tax a night but that was in 76 might have gone up a little sense then . hhh

Someone is always pissing in those beds! I had a dream I was staying in an old Days Inn, except it was like a suite with a full size living room. Similar to the room I stayed at with Chris in Wheeling on our way to Cherokee. The sheets were all wet and I debated asking for a new room. I woke up in a weird terror..Haha

The worst motel we stayed in was in San Jose Ca. It wasn't so dirty but broken springs came up out of the mattress. Husband is very picky and said he never wanted to sleep in a bed someone else had slept in again (weird.) He purchased a Ford Camper Van in 1999 and we slept in it on all are vacations until 2016---still have and use it for day trips. Traveled to Vegas, Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon (north and south rim,) Tahoe, Reno, all of the national and state parks in California, and many in Oregon and Washington.
