Thought the parking fee might spread to MI's NA casinos too. This may be a lesson for 'em. I know I would tell them to .. shove it. Paying to lose? Don't think so.

I think it ridiculous to pay for parking at a casino. I think Harrahs NOLA charges for parking but will comp it if you play at least 30 minutes. I can understand they don't want people parking there when they are not going to the casino. I don't think THR has that same excuse.

It did seem weird that casinos were actually charging to park your car. Really? Movie theaters and malls don't charge for parking and casinis shouldn't either.

I believe they only charged because they were hoping people would stay away for awhile. They closed the front open air parking lot to build an addition to the casino and a new parking garage. My friend was told that they should be opening the new garage soon and the open air lot next to the garage is already open. The casino will still be tight so they can pay for everything they have built and are continuing to build (new Hotel tower). THR got approved by the Florida House to have live craps, roulette and are awaiting approval from the Florida Senate. This will also open up other racino's across Florida if the Florida Senate approves. Several counties in Florida had Voter approval to add slots to their existing para mutual venues a few years ago but got shut down. Now it looks like it will probably go through. It will be interesting to see if the little bit of competition will have an affect on THR....probably NOT! HHH
