Just read this article. I find it hard to believe that one person could have the stated impact as expressed. Especially since no employee was able to verify/identify such an individual.

sounds fishy to me and a lie to investors for the poor performance of the casino most likely

I would say it is unlikely... They probably did have a very lucky gambler AND low table hold (overall) so while technically true the impact was probably exaggerated. On the other hand... I know a casino in the South a year or two ago that did get hit hard by 1 player. This casino was making around $20 Mil in revenue each month and then had a month with only $14 Mil. Turns out 3 known big time table games players won $6 Mil. 1 of the players won something like $4.2 Mil and the other 2 just under $2 Mil between them.
That's why many casinos don't want to chase the very high end business, it comes with a lot of risk.
