As some of you know from Facebook when I returned home from Laughlin I had severe pain which turned out to be kidney stones. Earlier this week I had a laser and sound wave treatment in the hospital for both Kidneys which went well and while I currently have a stent in me to help pass the now tiny fragments I'm expecting to have the stent removed on Wednesday. I had some indications that something was wrong the night before I left for Laughlin but thankfully it didn't happen there. First time having kidney stones and hoping it is the last. For any Jokers who have had them in the past you have my sympathy.
Thanks Mimi for organizing the Meet and also to Gina for organizing her dinner. Food at all the restaurants were great and I thought both you ladies did a great job organizing everything and all of us know there is tons of work involved in pulling off a great Meet like this one.
Thanks to Ken for driving me to and from Laughlin!
I did lose $100.00 at Harrah's because I was stupid and left the money in the game and someone quickly cashed it out. They did find out who it was but it turned out they had my cell number incorrect and my room phone was not working so I'm not sure if they ever got my money back or not. I found out about my room phone not accepting incoming calls when I didn't get my wake up call and told them about it the next night when asking for another wake up call and questioning why I didn't have one that morning so they tested the phone line and found it didn't work for incoming calls. Then they tried to call me back by cell and found out they had that number wrong so if security ever tried to get ahold of me by phone that was not going to happen. Anyway, it's a wake up call for me to be more careful. :)
Thanks to other Joker's winning in Laughlin, I know it was me and not the games there, but I actually lost a lot more in Laughlin then in Vegas so I've decided that a few percentage points better return really doesn't help all the much if one is unlucky. There were some nice casinos and restaurants in Laughlin but I don't see myself returning unless there's another big Meet in the future planned for there. Outside of Vegas I prefer Reno and Lake Tahoe and do see myself visiting that area once a year, or perhaps more.
The most fun in Laughlin was of course seeing all of you who were there and I'm looking forward to the next west coast meet whenever that might happen!

Hi Diana, nice seeing you again. Sorry to hear about the stones, glad you're on the road to normalcy. I fared about the same at Harrah's Laughlin as I have at Bally's using about the same game selection and bet sizes. It is all luck. We'd return to Laughlin to stay at Aquarius

Laughlin was a big money suck for me also. Was so hard the first night to get any win over 100$. I don't think I ever did. I fared a little better the next night, but too little too late.
I'd go back if there was another meet also.
I'm glad you're back on the mend . Also glad you decided to head home instead of staying in LV a few more days.

So sorry about the kidney stones. I know actually what you are going through, had them in 2009. I had surgery, not the kind you had and they made it worse. So I had to go for a different one. I swear that was worse than having Logan!! You will feel like a new person when that stent is out, at least that's how I felt. Even though you lost, glad you had a good time with all the Jokers.

I hear ya .shoot i couldnt buy a good win in harruhs hhh .Donna got some nice ones . but me nada .but isnt that the way it goes with friends or couples one wins the other feeds the machines hhh
It was nice meeting you Diana at the meet. I also had a really rough trip gambling wise, couldn't get anything to win much over $200 at any of the casinos this time myself, but I guess I can't win every time. Hopefully the kidney stones stay away, those can be so painful.
I'm sure I'll be in Laughlin again, but will go back to staying at Aquarius when there, I'm just not a big fan of that Harrah's. But it was a good place for a meet and would definitely attend one there again just because of how fun it was.

Hubby had kidney stones years ago and had the laser treatment to break them up. Hopefully the fragments will pass easily.

I did see Evoni doing some minesweeping (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=minesweeping) in the Palazzo high limit lounge on Friday night. Just saying could be a cause of those kidney stones.
Glad your on the mend. So happy you came to Laughlin to party with the Jokers. Sorry about the TITO and the phone confusion. Hope to see you at Cosmo next time I get to Vegas. I need a tour guide for there, HHH

It was great to see you and Linda too! if I visit Laughlin again I would also stay at Aquarius, I liked both the casino and I heard that the rooms are nice too.

Thanks Ken, I'm so glad I went home. In hindsight I think feeling bad the night before Ken drove us to Laughlin was likely the kidney stones acting up. So glad they didn't hit in force during Laughlin!

Stephiede, I'm so sorry that your first surgery made them worse. I agree with you it's worse then child birth. When I gave birth to Matt I did 19 hours of natural labor in the hospital without so much as a aspirin before they decided to do a emergency C-Section and the Kidney Stones are worse then the labor. The doctor had me take the stent out yesterday a day early due to the pain I was still having and you are right on, that has removed most of the pain and I'm feeling pretty good today.

I'm with you on that one, but unfortunately my partner wasn't with me in Laughlin to pick up my slack, LOL! I'm really glad that Donna has good wins and it was great to meet you both.

Sorry you had a rough gambling time of it too. I liked Aquarius quite a bit though I couldn't win there either. It really was me, the whole trip was just a struggle for me with the gambling. :)
Glad to see you are feeling better and posting. Hoping the stones leave without pain.
Thanks Linda, the doctor did a good job during the procedure and I'm almost completely recovered from it. It was nice to meet your husband! See you in April.
Glad you're doing better, Diana, and hope you fully recover soon -- great meeting you last trip!
Dina, it was great to meet you too, hope to see you again this year or the next. :)
I hope your recovery continues to progress and you're feeling 100% soon.
Thanks Elf! Hope to run into you later this month when I'm hoping to meet up with my Mom in Vegas if both her and I can stay healthy, LOL!

Thanks!

Thanks Dawn. It seems the doctor did a great job both with the laser and the sound treatment and now that the stent was removed yesterday I'm feeling much better. Here's hoping that both your husband and I never get them again!

Evoni, I have similar feelings about Laughlin - I couldn't imagine being there in August: although Laughlin wouldn't be hell, you'd be able to feel it from there.
Get well soon!

So glad to hear you are recovering well. You could call Laughlin and speak to security to see if they recovered the money, I'm sure they could mail it to you!
