Been Tracking All of my 2017 Play

I have tracked every visit to the casino since 1/1/2017. Two categories being Slots and Blackjack. I have never tracked my play in all of my 23 years of going to the casinos. Please don't judge me cause going to the casino is a large part of my social life. Plus I already know I'm a gambling degenerate. I'll start with the losing side. I have played the slots 38 times this year with an overall loss of $1847.
Two weeks ago that number was at negative $2991 so I have been making a comeback of sorts with no HP's.
My average loss is $48.60 per visit.
Now for the winning side.
I have played Blackjack 30 times with an overall win of $1249.
My average win is $41.63 per visit.
Overall I am down only $598 for the year and my mission is to get back in the black. Yes the struggle is real !!!
If you told me back on January 1st that I would only be down less than $600 at the mid point of 2017 I would have told you no way. I will continue to track my play until the end of the year.

At a loss if less than $20 per trip I would say you are doing pretty dang good. Good luck on getting back in to the black! If anyone is disciplined enough to do it it is you.

I went from losing an average of $500.00 every week or $26,000.00 every year to only losing $500.00 a month or $6,000.00 a year, for a savings of $20,000.00 a year. :)

How did I accomplish this you ask? Easy, I only go to the casino once a month now :)

Great job on tracking Darrell. I started tracking in January too, then got disgusted with seeing the losses. To solve the problem, I stopped tracking.

Thanks for sharing your stats darrellk. Considering how frequently you play, I'd say you are having a darn good year!

I've been trying to do a better job of tracking this year. Since cutting way back on my trips, it has been easier to track. I have only gone to my locals ONCE this year - yay me :) That has reduced my losses significantly and also increased my anticipation for upcoming trips, so I consider it a big win!

I've been tracking my play since 2013. The last few years I have been trending in the right direction because I was losing less but this year has been really horrible for me. I hope the second half of 2017 will be better.

I don't think anyone here can judge you - we all like to gamble

No judgment here. Have started with tracking the last three years but by April, I realize I forgot to keep tracking sometime around February lol. "Forgot"... suuure.

I think you're having a great year! Considering the frequency of your trips, you haven't lost much at all.

I used to track my play too. When I was having a winning year, it was fun...but one year I was having a miserably losing year and when I started losing over 5k and the year was only halfway over, I stopped doing it. It was way too depressing.

But it did make me realize that I was losing way more money than I could justify and it made me cut down drastically on my trips which was a good thing because I couldn't afford to keep losing money at that pace.
