As I mentioned a few weeks ago for our trip to Vegas next month, we switched from Planet Hollywood to Caesars Palace due to the fact that we have never stayed there and the opportunity for that to happen came up. With our reservation at Planet Hollywood we had free play and food & beverage included in our offer. It was not with Caesars Palace, but we were willing to give it up to finally stay there. Well guess what came in the mail today? A Total Rewards magazine that had a coupon for $100 in free play and $25 in food & beverage. I called and they added it to our reservation. While it is not a lot, it is enough in free play to cover the resort fees, and we can each get a sammich and possibly a drink with the $25.

So thanks, Total Rewards!

Thanks, sassycat. When I say the coupon I figured it would not work to my advantage, but a few minutes of my time and a free call turned out pretty decent. Now on the TR, you know that I have memory issues so I may need to take an assistant to remind what I did! HHH

dw, I surely hope so! In the close to 20 times I have been to Vegas it was always one of those places I have wondered what it would be like to stay at.

I for some ungodly reason have comp days available for Caesars for the Vegas M&G dates because I looked for the hell of it. I've stayed there a couple of times. I like the Augustus(i think that is the one that is attached to the Diamond Check in tower where the Laurel Collection is?)Tower. I loved the room. It was amazing. I don't know what the other towers looks like. I want to try the Nobu hotel eventually. If I ever hit the big one!

zeus how do you like Planet Hollywood. I stayed there once with my Mom and Aunt. For some reason I felt like I was 80(I was there for EDC(Electronic Music Festival that brings hundreds of thousands to Vegas) we had a strip room. The casino floor felt like it was wayyyyyyyyyyyy too loud and once up in the room I could feel the light thump of music from the ground. I wasn't happy. I'm hoping that changes when I go in October...but I'm weary. Thoughts on this property?

It was 2008 when I stayed there last. It was before it was a CET property. It was fine to me. A bit of a party atmosphere, but fun casino. The last time I was even in it was probably two years ago. There are quite a few forum members rhat have stayed there within the past year or two that have said they liked it.

Ok. I'll just chalk it up to being in Vegas at the wrong time. Which that's what EDC weekend is in Vegas. The wrong time. The year I went I believe 500,000 people attended so Vegas was flooded with people high off their asses and drunk more so than usual. Or than I've experienced I should say.

dvandentop it was definitely a sight to see. I mean chicks basically wearing underwear in public(AS little of it as possible because they think that is how ravers should be dressed, which is the opposite of how I remember ravers dressed in the 90s). Dudes that can barely speak and yet are yelling at the top of their lungs. I laughed but mostly these people were incredibly obnoxious....

zeus I purposely went because I knew EDC was going on, but I was so naiive as to how it would actually be in person. I mean I love Vegas for the lights, the sounds, the energy....but something about EDC kind of puts you into sensory overload and instead of it being an enjoying experience you're just kinda....annoyed three-fourths of the time. Add to that losing and being casino drunk(So buzzed without falling out of your chair) it just makes it worse. It was a lot to process. If I was paid a million dollars to do it again. I don't think I could. Unless I was deaf. Then I could. I'd get to laugh at the funny looking slutty high/drunk chicks that dress in clothes way too small for their body and the dbag frat bros...without actually dealing with the noise.

yeah zeus. Diamond is 15k. Then there is Aspirations Level 1(for some reason they felt the need to break into multiple levels in Diamond....i still don't get it. maybe twinslotaddicts will know?) and then Aspirations 2. Asp 1 is 40k(i just made this yesterday) and Asp 2 is 80k. Then of course the elusive 7 Stars 150k

Sine they only have either Diamond or 7 Stars for the two top tiers there is a huge discrepancy between the two required TR points so what they decided is they'll kinda break up Diamond into 3 different tiers and include addition "perks" with each one. Did that help at all or did I not get the question?

SoCalRob,
I was there in June of last year to celebrate daughter's 21st birthday.........it hasn't changed much....But I'm 51 and went to bed every night with the "thump, thump, thump" of the music so maybe I'm just getting too old! There was one Rawhide-Bonus Ladies that kept me playing for a few nights over by BurGr, nice hits on middle to max bets.

If you are there Thursday thru Sunday nights you may get noise from Drai's nightclub, plus another one Evoni and others have spoken about. Especially if you have fountain view and are on that end of the hotel. I always wear earplugs in Vegas because I am a light sleeper.

Shhh Don, major issue with me & DH....I'm a night owl, he likes to sleep when the "normal" people sleep.....I can live on 4-5 hrs/night when I'm on away from home. Amazing we've made it 29 years of marriage, but gotta say it's all him, he puts up with my craziness!

We scored a suite for DD's birthday...Can't even remember the rooms/floors but it was more facing the airport and I slept like a baby for the few hours each night. The vibe was perfect though for DD....I just kept an eye on her from a distance. Can't take the mom out of me!

The music from Drai's can be heard from all over the area. We already had our annual May trip planned, plus most of the ladies that work for me have children in school and the M&G is during their spring break. I always let them have that time off from work because I am such a nice guy![emoji2]

zeus you sound like a nice guy. I'm sure they all love you for it as well! I remember when I was staying at Bally's I couldn't hear it so I should hopefully be ok. Or that may have been when they were still constructing it. Oh who knows. I'm a spritely fellow the music shouldn't bother me as much as it does. I've decided there is a tiny old man in my soul. tee2green I thought I'd love it too cuz I figured it was "the hip place on the strip" (before Cosmo and all that) but apparently too much hip is too much for me. I loved the rooms though...and the fact that room service could be ordered from PF Changs.

Awesome Zeus, glad they added it on for you! I had a similar situation, got 5 nights comped online and then I emailed Hunter (host at PH) if he could add any free play and he told me I had an offer for $100 in FP and $25 resort credit (same as you!) so he added it on for me! Then when I was going through my casino mailers I found the coupon, so I'm guessing that's what he added. I know $25 isn't much but it it'll take a nibble out of drinks by the pool!!!

We stayed at CP once, in 2006. It was their 40th anniversary year and they let you know it. Anyway, we had a base room and they put us in the original tower with a Strip view. Nice room, enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks right outiside our window, but there was no bathroom door. It wasn't just missing or a pocket door, there was no provision made for a door, just an opening. When I had to use the toilet, I just cranked up the TV a bit then hosed down the bathroom with my $5 cologne. Guess things were a little more open in 1966.

The CP room was bigger than a West Wing room. That WW room was just too small and too far from the casino. I paced off 200 steps from the elevator to our room as we were at the west end of the West Wing

I remember from the check-in desk we walked for it seemed like 20 minutes just to get to that wing. And then when you got in to the hallway the ceilings seemed like they were maybe 7'. I have never felt so claustrophobic in a hotel in all of my life. The only positive was the Starbucks for that wing was close and never busy.
