Maybe somewhere in the very, very fine print it states that it includes a limo for the entire weekend. :cheerful: But they would probably tell you to get your ass on the Caesars shuttle to get dropped off at Bally's. It is a perk with being Platinum.

LMAOOO! It's too much. I love CET I really do, but boy oh boy. I do have $10 in Food and Free Play at Harrah's Reno, they are already excited about my arrival in a few months. Platinum Kenny is 1k tier till renewal..I got this! May even reach Platinum Aspiration Level #2. No it doesn't exist, but in my brain only!

I just checked ours, but would could stay at Caesars and get a $300 gift card.

But even better, or worse depending on how you look at it, we have an offer for later in the month with comped tickets to the iHeart concert on the 23rd. Aww!! Why does Vegas have to be so far away? [emoji17]

I'm considering going to Vegas that weekend to celebrate my BD. However, I will not be staying at RIO.

I have never been to the Rio, nor do I hear much about people staying/playing there. Is it that bad? It is a TR casino, but is it one they put no focus on? Not trying to be a snob, but like Excalibur. The casino seems to be where MGM places their old slots to die. Lots of slots that that the sound does not work, and the display is so old and dark you can barely see what is happening.

I'm not a fan of Rio, but I know a few folks that like it there. I did a couple tournaments there, but I only stayed there once, 2 year ago now I think. My room (a Samba Suite I think) was actually very nice & they have a very nice looking pool area. There was a decent mix of slots, including some good old Aristos. Because they do so many conventions, the crowds changes dramatically depending on what's going on.

Truthfully, I have no plans to stay there again ever, and I sure can't picture you guys being happy there

Wasn't sure if it was worth the shuttle to go over and play a couple of hours. Surely wouldn't stay there just due to being off the strip.

I love Caesars! The Augustus Tower rooms are phenomenal. Especially with fountain view. Not my favorite casino, but good enough to be home base. Actually hit my biggest win to date at Caesars.

Years ago, the Rio was known for the best buffet in Las Vegas - the first to offer "stations" including the Mongolian "cook-in-front-of-you" thing which is why I ended up in the buffet line, coupon in hand ha ha!!!

Next visit was to see the Mardi Gras parade which would wind it's way around the casino but from the ceiling!!! Long gone now but if you look up, the track may still be there.

Last visit was to visit the Titanic exhibit (this jumps around to different hotel/casinos as does the "body" exhibit).

It used to be known for the Voodoo Lounge on top of one of the towers with spectacular views and unusual cocktails but I'm sure that's a has-been now.

LOL... too funny. There always seems to be something scary going on @Rio. A few years ago there were reports of bed bugs. Then several months ago there was a major power outage and all hotel guests had to be re-housed to other CET properties, and then a couple of months ago there were reports of an outbreak of legionnaires disease. Maybe that's why they're being so generous with the comped 3 nights.

Rio is ok, used to be better, standard mid-low end CET property....I would not have an issue staying there except the location

The Rio used to be a good property when it was a locals casino and when Harrahs purchased the property for a bit. However, CET has really taken a dump, if you will, on the place. They took out the sky show, have a large quantity of old boring machines, have lots of building issues as mentioned above, tons of empty casino space. I stayed there many years ago and the casino was VERY tough, harder than the strip casinos in my opinion. Honestly, if I had to stay there, I'd just play at Gold Coast across the street.

The location does make it tough, but they do have shuttle service to the other CET properties on the strip. It's an easy walk (outside of the summer) across the street to Gold Coast and The Palms.

I've always stayed at Caesars. Stayed in Augustus, Nobu and Palace Towers and all were very nice rooms. I don't think the casino is that bad pay wise. Some trips it's good, some trips nothing pays. Which is why I like the location because I can easily get to other properties both CET and non-CET.

I went to Rio for the points for the Quest thing they ran earlier this year. I didn't spend a lot of time there but I won and left ahead. I thought it was kind of creepy to be honest, but I was there on a mid week afternoon of a slow week in Vegas where even the Strip wasn't that crowded. If it was just for play I wouldn't go back - I left up because of lucky hits not because the machines felt looser. The KISS mini golf and store that used to be across from the Hard Rock hotel is now in the Rio, so I would maybe go back to go there.

I have stayed at the Rio numerous times since it opened in the early 1990's. I AGREE with everything you said. They have the worse casino floor game selection, way too smoky, very few breakfast options, and I wouldn't be surprised in CET sells the property. It is the "comp" room haven for Total Rewards members since they have thousands of room to fill. However, I did stay there a few months ago during the Listeria Water problem in their plumbing so that was creepy when I got the warning letter.
