Cathy and I spent last couple days at Seneca Allegany Casino and thought we would share our impressions from a first time trip. Let me just start out by saying that this will become our new local casino (3 hour drive).
Seneca Allegany is run by the Seneca Nation and is on the reservation. Don't even try to compare this one to the Native American casinos we see in Oklahoma (for instance). Beautiful location and scenery.
GOOD STUFF
Slot floor is very large. 1700 slots, but only a few table games. Lots of the older machines mixed in with newer stuff. For instance maybe 10% of the slots are older Aristocrats. So for us this gave chance for long play time. In fact we really played only pennies and our loss was 10.0% which really isn't too bad when compared to AC for example. They have a daily bonus tier credit system somewhat better than CET's system.
Rooms were nice and Cathy will post pics she took. Nice walk in shower and towels were the thickest I ever seen. Room had decent sized table and desk with 3 chairs. Floor to ceiling window. Bed very comfortable. Managed to sleep 10 hours one night and felt great when got up. Can control room temperature to your liking.
Drinks are free on the slot floor if playing or standing by your spouse if they are playing. We saw plenty of CWs and drinks were served within 10 minutes of ordering.
Casino is a smoking casino. However we were not bother by the smoke at all. However the slot supervisor I spoke to did say that Friday and Saturday nights are rough in this regard. There is a no smoking room (Turtle Island) with 144 slot machines.
Have never seen a cleaner casino. No ashes on the buttons and custodians plentiful picking up discarded glasses and cleaning ashtrays.
Also every machine we played had all buttons working.
Free valet for everyone.
BAD STUFF
Only 4 older Buffalo machines and 3 Buffalo Gold. There was Buffalo on Wonder and Tower Fours.[/B][/B][/B][/B]
Food at Upstairs Café and at Thunder Mountain Buffet was only fair. We did not eat at the upscale restaurants although I had heard good things about them.
CONCLUSION
Wished we had gone there years ago. These people care about providing service to the players.
