Just back for a transatlantic crossing NYC-Southampton on the Cunard Queen Mary 2. Great way to avoid jet lag crossing the "pond." Small non-smoking casino floor given the size of the ship. The casino floor must have been bigger at one point but they took away a portion of the slot floor to convert them into more cabin spaces on the latest remodel.

I've never been on the Queen Mary 2, I hope it was a fun crossing despite the smaller casino. :)

It was a great crossing despite rough seas that the ship handled perfectly with minimal movement notice. Small slot floor made no difference for me as I still had a great time. But I will admit, I was getting a bit tired of the Aruze King of Dragons slots "one more for the bonus" themes... Thanks... Slotspert

Thanks Slotspert. It seemed pretty spacious for a ship casino from the video. Did you think they could have fit additional games in there?

Also, the drink meter was interesting. Any estimate of how much it took to get it to fill, and would they give you bottled water when you did?

100 points for ONE free drink. There is a "drink menu" at the casino bar to choose from. The great "chocolate" Godiva based drinks were not included.

How long is the crossing?

7 days. It could be done in 5 days at full speed but it is a relaxed crossing. The time does go by quickly and there is a planetarium dome showing those kind of films. Food was very good but enforced STRICT dress code with many tuxedo/dark suit nights. Best result that there is NO JET LAG when you arrive. Recommend east to west crossing as it turns into 23 hour days instead of 25 hour days if you go east to west.
