ok y'all..this is the only place the looked right to post this. I've seen this article today on several media outlets and I can't find any real purpose. Or why it is even relevant. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/10/05/vegas-shooters-gambling-brings-new-attention-to-video-poker.html
I used this link bc it actually allowed comments and some are like me while others just offer nonsense. I am asking here bc I know we have avid vp players here and I think most of us actually have a brain/clue about gambling. What I don't get is that there are a lot of people that play high limit slots and tables. They get the same treatment by casinos depending on the amount they wager. But why microscope vp just bc thats what the shooter preferred? I don't see any connection on how vp would make a person more agitated or insane vs playing other games. Sure there have been many people off themselves after bad sessions and losing big time, but I don't think this is the case for this guy. From new information, he had more ammo and explosives in his car and that he planned to get away. So if thats the case, then again, wth is the reason for this article?? Also, its an AP article so thats why its on a lot of outlets.
I hate to conspiracy theory this. Since this isn't a very informative article I can speculate that it will allow big brother access to all player cards so they may put together a pattern and profile of a gamer to monitor their points (like NSA on phone data) and come up with a type of no gamble list..nah thats absurd!!
Or how about that if you play vp you will turn out be a mental nut job that takes out a crowd of people on a whim bc the machines made you do it?
I can't say for sure and I doubt anybody will ever be able to, but I really don't think that this guy's vp gambling habit is what caused him to do this. He knew well beforehand of what when and how he was going to do this. He had a target, he had a reason.
Am I missing something here?
