I also dislike Penn National, which is probably a good thing for me as the one in Mass in only an hour and 10 minutes from me. Went twice and hated it both times, THE END.

Looks like Boyd will have the ones in MO. I actually like Boyd. "In a separate deal, also announced Monday, Boyd Gaming Corp. is buying four Pinnacle properties. Those include the Ameristar St. Charles and the Ameristar Kansas City, both in Missouri, as well as the Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, Indiana, and Belterra Park in Cincinnati. Boyd will pay $575 million for those assets."

Boyd sends out pretty good offers, unlike Penn National. Could even make Harrah's in NKC even MORE generous with their offers.

Let's have a FP war between the two chains! :)

Bill and I have liked Boyd. We always stay at Orleans (and Gold Coast years ago) as part of our Vegas trips. Maybe not great offers but always free rooms and I usually get a lot of play at their casinos. Sometimes I even win!

I like Boyd too for the most part. Blue Chip is the only casino in the Midwest I seem to be able to win at, and always get good offers from them that I can use when I visit the area. I like the Orleans too, although I gave Sam's Town a try recently and their slots seemed tighter than the strip, had a horrible two days there.

I will say though I hear bad stuff about Penn from everyone, and don't have a lot of experience with them outside of Vegas. I thought they would ruin the M Resort when they bought it, but I have been there a few times recently and have made a profit so far each time this year. They give me better offers based on my play than most of the other off strip Vegas casinos. Might be just because it's a more competitive market though?

I would recommend it. When I'm back in that part of the country visiting family I usually go to a casino or two. Been to Horseshoe, Ameristar and Four Winds too. Blue Chip just seems to be the loosest to me, last two trips were winners.

We like Four Winds but will try Blue Chip maybe in the Spring.
