View Full Version : Puzzled by CET

Hi All, I started playing at CET when I they offered the Diamond upgrade last Sep. I was doing well at Harrah’s and then had a good trip at Caesar’s as well in December. So the new year rolled around and by the end of March I had earned 21,000 tier at Caesar’s alone. I had a day where I earned 2500 and my other day trips and overnight trips I was earning between 1,000 and 2,000 a day on slots alone.

Here’s my confusion and I know there are some of you who love CET but not sure if anyone else feels like me...I don’t feel like I get much there. I earn or receive nothing other than tier credits earned towards food, so I can’t even dine at one of their fine dining restaurants and have it comped.

I earn no additional slot dollars other than the Return Rewards I earn while I play and they never offer days where you receive additional slot dollars. My biggest complaint is that a host emailed me in February and told me to let her know when I need a room, etc. So the DH and I book a room on a Sunday night, first week of May, completely off season and in my email I say that we are celebrating our 23rd anniversary. My trip before was when I earned 2500 tier and we got a standard ocean view room in the Centurion Tower. I could have booked that room myself!

I don’t think I will continue to play at Caesar’s after my Diamond card expires next January. With Hard Rock and Ocean Resort opening, I will make one of those or go back to Golden Nugget as my 2nd AC casino.

I have to say at the same play, I would get nice suites when I was playing at GN and I feel you earn tier points the same at CET as you do GN but GN also gave me two $40 food vouchers 2x a month and they would have days when you received additional slot dollars like they have at Borgata too.

After returning back to Borgata and now that they are owned by Mlife, I will continue to give them most of my play. To me nothing in AC compares to Borgata but hey there will be other possibilities soon.

I was just curious how other players feel about CET too.

I think part of it is you're in the AC market, which I don't completely understand how comps work there.
Our Vegas host usually adds a $100 FB comp when we email him ahead of time.
We're going to Horseshoe So. Indiana this weekend for 3 comped nights, $130 FP, and our host down there just added another $100 food to our reservation. We're low diamond achievers and we are mainly concerned about getting free rooms.
Not sure why your host didn't offer at least a food comp.

Maybe because we are out of the AC market, it is the complete opposite for us. We had a host from Harrahs reach out to us and sealed the deal to come back this weekend. I have 950.00 FP, limo ride, airfare, suite, Gordon Ramsey and told us to put all our F&B on our room and he will take care of it. Last trip I had 2 2500 tc's days and one 500. He also know I double booked the GN for Friday & Saturday because I have FP there. Probably only stay Friday and may have some customers come in Saturday night to take the GN room.

Our experience with CET in AC is very little in return for food and FP. Of course we will give then little play at times and seldom have free room June through mid Sept. But even when we played 2500 TC one and a nd 1000 the next offers were really low. We do a bit better in most other markets. But then remember we do not play at the coin in level most here do. Really give us free room and we be happy camper.

One thing that CET offers pretty regular is their promotional days where you swipe your card at the kiosk for a multiplier on your Reward Credits earned that day. It is typically 3- 10 times your normal rate. We have been lucky and have hit it on each stay there. I believe we have gotten 3, 6 &7. It helps out. And one time a host came up to Allen and introduced himself, and gave him a $100 food credit.

I believe each property has their advantages. I guess with us is their locations throughout the country where we can get rooms.

They don't give me a monthly food credit like they used to...I think mine was 2 buffets or $60 at a restraunt. They seem to have switched to just giving rewards credits instead, like the last trip I got $70 worth of credits. So it's about the same as it was for me. I do think the freeplay is lower than comparable play at others CET casinos

Wow, thanks for bringing this up. I have been considering switching over to CET next year when we may be in a better position to travel so that we can participate in the quests and hopefully earn a better status for access to room nights in different areas of the country. I guess I never really considered the lack of FB credits and FP offers. Always thought that was just something that didn't come up as a question in discussion. Access to rooms, as well as access to the DL's, is really all I'm interested in, or so I thought, but now the lack of good FP and FB credits has me puzzled too. So, isn't that what you use the RC's for, food and beverage? I just love Borgata and, silly as it sounds, it is a tough decision for me to switch loyalty to CET because I'm really not interested in any of their AC properties and that's the market we are closest too. Ugh .... more stuff to think about. :)

We were in a Fiore Suite at the B at the beginning of May for 2 nights and it was so nice to be able to get that for a change. We have 2 nights booked in the WC in a few weeks and I love staying in the WC as well. On that Sunday there is the Mystery Slot Dollars (spin to win a minimum $100, maximum $1000), Monday is the Bingo (haven't played that in awhile and Bob and I both enjoy that), then Tuesday before we leave, there is more FP, plus they now sent me birthday FP, something that never happened prior to MLife. I don't get weekend rooms (though they've dropped a couple of Friday nights in recently) and I'll never get into Amphora at the rate I play, but I do earn points to use in restaurants, etc. The property (my opinion only of course) is beautiful; I feel good when I'm there and feel safe as well with the clientele and security (because DH is rarely on the slots floor with me).

I guess I'll wait for the fall promos to come out and see if it will be feasible for me to jump on the CET bandwagon. Thanks for this thread, BB. I'm shocked that at the play you have given them recently, you haven't gotten more out of it.

BB you're not getting any daily FP offers from CET in AC?

Mine aren't large but I get $5-20 FP offers several times a month at Caesars and Ballys and more at Harrahs (although not comparable to Borgata or GN). Seems strange that you're not getting any!

And the omg way to accrue enough comps for meals really is to take advantage of the multiplier days. Otherwise it accrues crazy slow at CET!

I am like Dina, and am surprised that you are not getting any free play offers from CET in AC? When we went in November to the Borgata, we had $460 at Harrah's from our September trip, and you know we do not play big. We even had around $50 at Caesars and $25 at Bally's from minimal play. You should be getting something. It wouldn't hurt to talk to someone.

A food comp here or there would be nice. Maybe it does have to do something with AC being my home casino?

I’m more upset that I can’t cover the cost of dinner when we stay overnight because it is so hard to accumulate reward credits unless you can go on a multiplier day.

I feel like those multiplier days are always when we can’t make it there:( I wanted to give them play because they have so many locations throughout the country but we probably can’t start taking full advantage of that for a few more years.

I would be happy with a food credit but really, if I earn 1,000 tier that is comparable to earning 50 comp dollars at Borgata and at CET all that gives me is $10 RC?

I certainly don’t want to discourage you trying CET, especially since you want to take advantage of the travel benefits. Others love CET that’s why I asked, maybe I’m doing wrong?

But they don’t have anything like Borgata does with mystery FP days and SD. I also feel like their return RC expire quickly, so when I earned 2600 TC at the end of Feb and could not get to Caesar’s by the end of April, I lost those RC.

As far as being able to earn Gold with Mlife, if you go to Vegas you accrue tier points much faster there than at Borgata but you get less comp dollars, probably because in LV they will come your food at the end based on your play. I earned almost 90,000 tier points in LV and did not play the entire trip at Mlife.

As for the DL’s, they are ok, not Amphora but as far as AC goes, I like the Chairmen Club at GN just as well as Caesar’s DL.

Here’s part of the problem, when the Caesar’s host reached out to me in January, I asked if she could switch my home casino from Harrah’s Philadelphia to Caesar’s and she said she couldn’t, that it is based on the amount of times you play at a certain CET casino. In the past 6 months I have went to Harrah’s Philly, once and have been to Caesar’s at least 8 times and my FP offers still come from Harrah’s Philly. They are $25 and I get offered 2500 RC, so that was the main reason I was even going there, to accumulate RC being offered. But all this time playing at Caesar’s and I get nothing from them.

Ill make an observation on this thread due to the lack of any hard data . id say places like A/C and L/V are not going to do as much for there TR members as say Caesar's lo-cals a bit more OFF the beaten path like hummmm ...KC , Laughlin or other locations across the Midwest not located near large metro areas or convenient Airports . KC is an exception to that logic cuz it does have both a metro area and an large airport but what is don't have is a large draw on folks heading some where to gamble (maybe its cuz they charge for drinks lol) who knows how the big wigs at cet central got this figured . one thing is for sure the more $$$ cet gives us in forms of comps has to come from some where and my guess is thats your wallet via the slots .

I agree that you should ask someone why you aren't getting FP offers from them. Getting offers from Philly shouldn't keep you from getting offers from AC. Once I played at AC they started sending me FP calendars while at the same time I was also getting calendars from other CET locations.

As for food upfront, aside from free buffets I have rarely gotten these offers even in LV. I get it comped off the backend or I ask a host for a comp skip. I can't speak on AC in this regard as we just made small purchases and used my Dhs RCs that were about to expire. I would have assumed they'd have a host desk where you could ask for comps based on play - is that not the case?

Under “benefits” there are rules and restrictions. Lots of them.

So I received a response from someone at Caesar’s in AC and I was basically told to pound dirt. I appreciate their time but think it is a bullshit response. I earned 23,000 tier in 4 months (yes this includes 1-2500 tier day, one day I earned 2,000 and several 1,000 days) I think I only earned 400 tier in badges.

Again, Caesar’s offers me NOTHING other than bingo here and there. I was told my play qualifies me what I receive which is nothing.

Golden Nugget is offering tier upgrade, I am going to get that and upgrade to Elite which I won’t be able to maintain but I’ll reap the benefits while I can and then see what Hard Rock and Ocean Resort have to offer and figure out which casino will become our #2 in AC, but it will not be Caesar’s.

Here is the last paragraph basically telling me I qualify for nothing...

“All of our marketing offers have criteria attached to them and depending on the criteria that you meet will determine the offers you'll receive. All offers are based on overall play, as recorded with your Total Rewards Card, during the past six months. We are not permitted to disclose the criteria of our offers to our guests because we are not permitted to tell anyone how much they should play. It is important to note that marketing promotions/offers are based on your average play over time and not always dependant on specific tier scores or card status.

Upon reaching out to our Total Rewards Support Team, they have informed us that the offer you've received are what you are qualifying for at this time. We apologize for any disappointment in this matter.”
