I wonder if it will effect the NA casinos in Texas. I’d drive right over OK to gamble in a casino with decent comps and wins.

Of course if Texas would get in line...I’d just gamble here.

Also the extra charge per hand at bj isn't fun

What do we have in Texas? Kickapoo in Eagle Pass ( Faarrrrrr West Texas) and Naskila in East Texas. Naskila is under the gun, State of Texas is trying to get rid of it. Nothing in DFW, or SA or Houston. Lots of $$$ must be being passed under the table to keep casino gambling out of Texas. I don’t believe it’s Baptists either. I think it’s the Oklahoma tribes paying big bucks to Texas legislators. Ok off my soap box .

Texas has funny little deals with all the surrounding states . but the most popular reason Texas don't have casino's is still the issue of separating church and state and the lack of demand with the abundance of casino's just over the state line .

This article is confusing. They can expand 1200 yards inland, but do they still have to attached to the water? Or can a new freestanding casino be built within 1200 yards of the water?

They can move 1200 feet inland from their berth, no need to be connected to water.
