I was just reading this article on Vegas Chatter about Total Rewards. I found it to be interesting with a lot of opinions pertaining to the recent 50% and the number of Diamond and 7 Star players they have. I know we have a lot of members that are at the higher tiers. Do you agree with a lot of the statements in this article?

Thanks for posting the article...I agree they have made Platium pretty much worthless by dropping the resort fee perk...As to how many people will get to Diamond from the 50% promotion, I think most would have gotten there anyway..it could add some folks to the Asperations level...but the 2nd level is the only one that gets you airfare, the first level does not seem to get you too much. I just hope they work their way thru the Bankruptcy in one piece...or mostly in one piece..

I would concentrate on daily coin in rather than tier level

Yup! The gyrations of a company going through bankruptcy are unpredictable.

I just got through reading the article and would have to agree that CET is getting carried away with their Total Rewards program. For years now they have had far and away the best players program, especially for players like us that like to travel. They have a casino somewhere close to most of the places we like to go.

I think where they are messing up is that they invest way too big of an effort on marketing rather than good old fashioned customer relations. My wife Sassycat is a 7 star. Even at her level we constantly have to bicker with them over seemingly trivial and inexcusable experiences. Whether it is trying to get them to reverse charges on something that we are supposed to get for free or squabbling with a host because our free play is not as much as it used to be it leaves us disappointed and at times feeling that we have been bs'd. Despite this we continue to be loyal to them because nobody out there gives away all the free airfare and other perks as long as you are retired like we are and have a flexible schedule and like to travel like we do.

My hope is that in the process of restructuring that they will consolidate their marketing efforts and become more customer friendly, and become more efficient. I could provide you with a dissertation outlining things they need to do but at this point it is only wishful thinking. Thanks for the article zeus.

I agree for someone like me, but for folks like SMR, Sassycat and so many other high tier members that have many years and $ invested in TR it truly can make a difference in their overall experiences.

Just my opinion but with Total Rewards especially in the past years I think the higher tier levels mean more then with other player club groups such as M-Life, Identity and Grazie, where daily coin in is mainly what counts. Not of course that daily coin in isn't important with every loyalty club. I think Platinum level was ruined when they gave that level to everyone who took out their TR credit card they were pushing. I very seldom gamble at a CET property but even I'm Platinum due to the credit card and wanting to skip lines at the Bacchanal buffet at Caesar's, LOL! Unfortunately sounds like the higher levels now have too many in them too due to some of the recent promotions to help gamblers reach them.

The problem with being loyal to any casino group is that every single one of them changes the rules on us periodically and usually not in the favor of the gambler. :(

Good article! My experience with CET is that tier level has never correlated to comps for me. I think it's all about their ADT and it will be interesting to see how things play out this year for loyal players, hoping they will be rewarded for their play.
