Information on Cherokee Invitation only

Hey just wanted to share some information from a friend on what to expect if you are thinking about taking them up on their offer.

Expect a long hold time to call in to make a reservation. And the reservation you are making is for a slot time not a room reservation. They are only opening one tower and won’t have reservations available until July because they are already sold out. You pick a date/time you want to come play for example Saturday at 11am but there is no limit on how long you play.

I didn’t get invited (good news) but in case any of you were thinking about it just didn’t want you to wait on hold 30-45 minutes to find this out! Especially since most of us travel far enough to need a room.

I wrote in every casino survey I have received about re-opening that they need to make it feel as normal as it used to be as possible. If it's not it isn't worth going.

Fortunately since the 5 casinos that are opening tomorrow near me are not requiring masks, and figured out a way to keep almost all the machines on with a different floor configuration, it seems like they are trying and I'll see how it works tomorrow.

They have guys going around with tanks of disinfectant constantly cleaning the slots and chairs. They even have every other urinal in the men's room closed off. So far I can say it is not too bad. Even the mask isn't bothering my claustrophobia and anxiety.

I’m alive and back in Atlanta - had to come home to be in time out. Lol

Actually this morning I did get much better play time this morning than I did last night. I think I played on the same Dragon Link machine for about 3 hours and earned over 1200 TCs on it. I had several bonuses and teases on both the Major and being one away from the Grand. I chased too long and eventually gave it all back but I had fun trying. I probably would have gone on tilt but funny that they reduced the max on my E-check to $500 per day which probably saved me. They said I could call to request an increase to what I had before but it was best to leave it as is for now.

Although it was not a winning trip for me I was really happy I got to be somewhere other than my house or the grocery store. I feel like the casino was organized and did a good job of keeping things clean. There were not a lot of people waiting to check in but between each guest they wiped down the counter, credit card machine, etc. When I opened the shower door there was a strong smell of bleach that hit me. When I was on the slot floor I constantly saw people cleaning. If a slot was vacant they were wiping it down. I saw the guy that looked like he was one of the ghostbusters walking around with sanitizing spray. All employees and customers were wearing masks. The HL room actually looked sad. There were only 2 HL Lightning Link turned on and about 5 Ainsworth. Many machines turned off but I didn’t have any HL money anyway so probably good I wasn’t the least bit tempted to go in there.

It did begin to get more crowded by the time that I left. I’m glad I played early when it was pretty empty. That would probably be my preference if I go again.
