Since I am officially retired now, and the world has been on shut down due to Covid-19 it has given me time to start a new hobby that I hope to turn into a side hustle to make money for my casino trips. Yes, I'm going to take orders. Not too sure on how to get started advertising them. My original plan was to go to craft shows and other events and try and sell the completed ones I had and then take orders for more custom ones. Just have to wait for all the stay at home orders to be lifted and events to start happening again for that. I'm thinking of making a FB page, and Instagram page but need to come up with a name for my crafting first.

Thanks guys, I will check into Esty too. Each cup takes about a week to make and is teaching me patience, HHH. I see the imperfections in each cup and want to keep fiddling with them to get them perfect, but family and friends that have seen them don't see the imperfections I do unless I point them out. As long as it's OK with CPT and if y'all want to see the cups I'll keep posting them here for your comments and suggestions.

I love Cece's idea of a cup for a M&G, just will have to wait and see when we can all finally get together again.

I sell stuff all the time on F B market place and on Craigslist . of course thats tools . craft shows would be a way to go also could look at local shops that sell trendy items near the beach see if they would give you a little space or even consignment sales .

Here's the latest finished one. I have quite a few almost completed and will be posting them soon, if you want to see them. Looking at the pictures, I need to step up my photography skills. So many ideas and things to do I don't think there is enough time to do them all. I think I'm busier in retirement than I was working fulltime. I need a casino break. I almost booked Biloxi for this weekend, but need to save my $$$ for August and September.

Thanks Ida, I have to stay busy, otherwise I would turn into a couch potato easily. I think I am busier now than I was when I was working, between making cups and being the family driver for my parents. I impatient for Labor Day to get here so that I can relax, socialize (following whatever protocols are in place in September) and WIN some money. I think this new obsession of mine is as expensive as the casino trips. Glad you like the cup, it gave me some fits and is not perfect but I'm glad I was able to do it.

I finished this cute little crossbody cellphone purse today, my granddaughter claimed it even before it was finished and came over and now it's in her happy possession. I'll definitely make more of these as I think it would be a perfect casino purse. A zippered pocket for daily BR, a zippered pocket for money to take home and a larger zippered pocket to keep keys, TITOs, lighters, cigarettes, etc. and a slip pocket on the back for a cellphone.11891

These are for my great niece and great-great-niece in California. My sister requested them as a surprise and is taking them to Cozumel this weekend as they will be meeting up for a family vacation. The green one was a specific request for my great niece, but the blue one she gave me free rein on, so knowing that Nelle who is 12, is an avid reader and really into Greek mythology. Life has been crazy and I haven't been able to craft much. My father has been in and out of the hospital and now my step-mother is in. My father can't stay by himself due to his health issues, so my sisters and I are taking care of him 24/7 (thank goodness for sisters). We are all wearing a little thin, but they are determined to stay in there home. Difficult discussions are ahead.

I was able to finally finish matching tumblers for Vernon and my granddaughter Skyler. She has finished her USMC service and will be transitioning to civilian life now. She had asked me to make them something special to honor their service. No pressure, YIKES!!! The only thing she requested was that it had the word SQUID on the bottom (some USMC thing). These are works from the heart and I was surprised that the vision in my head actually came out on the tumblers. She has not seen them yet and will not see them until I can deliver in person and see her face. 12442

Y'all know me too well. I have the printer on order and have already started making designs for when it gets here. It's different from the epoxy ones I have been making, but I can do sublimation in the house and not have to worry about the weather like I do with epoxy. Epoxy is very finicky. I'll be showing ya'll lots of new things soon.

Thank you Dawn, retirement can be lots of fun. I used to craft a lot and put it aside due to adulting. Now, I'm back to it. Just finished this one today. It will hold a water bottle, tumbler or other beverage on the inside and has the zip pocket on the front for phone and other essentials. 12719

I knit, crochet, build things, repair things. Always thought I should have been a carpenter but your zipper work on all those purses getting everything lined up perfectly puts my handy work to shame. Or maybe I could improve if I updated my equipment. My machine is 48 years old and doesn't have a free arm so moving all that small fabric around is a challenge. Thanks for sharing.

Always thought I should have been a carpenter but your zipper work on all those purses getting everything lined up perfectly puts my handy work to shame. Thank you both, the words of encouragement are so welcome. I personally see lots of areas that need improvement, but no one else sees them unless I point them out. I'm learning to not be as critical of my projects. My family love it when I'm critical as I give away the imperfect ones (which is almost all of them, LOL). If you are fighting with zippers try clips instead of pins or even doublesided tape (they now make it in 1/8 inch width that works perfect for sewing.) Dawn, those older machines are beasts and great for straight sewing. I have 2 Singers from the 1920s that I am going to be setting up and using as soon as I can figure out how to make more room in my house. I have a Craft Shack in the backyard that I use for my epoxy work, but can't setup for sewing in there as you need to wear a respirator when the epoxy is curing. I've already taken over the dining room with my computer design work and half the bedroom with my sewing, so I'm thinking I need a bigger house.
