Upcoming Borgata Events

Wondering if anyone is going to the Tyler Henry event next week (15th) at Borgata? I'm going down with a friend for just one night for the show. Curious about this guy (he's adorable and I always liked the show on TV) and wondering how the event will go.

I noticed today that I had an invite for the Haunted Borgata Ghost Town. I registered. But it's weird because it just shows the name of the event, the date, and then when you register it doesn't give you any additional details. WTH? Is it a party in a separate space? A casino-wide party? Costumes? Prizes? What? I asked in the Facebook group if anyone had additional details and not a peep.

You know, Kathy, I hope more people do the same thing because I keep hearing about how bad things have gotten with slots, offers, room availability. All my "wait list" fly offers are completely gone. Our friends who were getting comped flights recently got offers taken away or reduced (1 comp instead of 2), or couldn't get reservations when they called. They are on their second flight now with Hard Rock (2 comps with $300 FP each) and loving it. And, they are doing exactly what you're doing. They're going to go where they get the best bang for their buck. My room offers are all over the map, but I expect that because of my play, but even still, I know it has changed alot, and it feels like work to squeeze out a decent win once in awhile.

DK528, thank you! This helps alot. Geez Louise, why didn't they include some of that information in the offers invitation. Ugh ... if we weren't having our Halloween party the following day, I would totally go, or send my guys in my place. :) I might try to talk them into it. LOL

Denise, I am going to see Tyler Henry. I have two tickets, but am only using one, because neither Al nor Colleen want to go, and my sister cannot hear. Al said that he would rather have all of his toenails pulled out rather than go see Tyler. If you want an extra, let me know. I used to watch Tyler's show as Psychic to the Stars, or whatever it was called, and really enjoyed it. He was spot on.

As for the Borgata, I have been happy with them. About two weeks ago, I came out of the breakfast buffet, and promptly won 2500.00 on the Dragon's of the Eastern Ocean machine. I have not posted on here much, because I have had a terrible time trying to post pictures and it is very frustrating. Also, I received a birthday cake from the Borgata again this year.....which really surprised me. When I go on the 14th and 15th, I have a total of $425 in free play for the two days. I have not had a problem with rooms, and can usually get one. Last time we were there, I was happy to see Don, Allen and
Adam! I enjoyed seeing them very much!

As for Hard Rock, I agree that they give very good comps, and nice gifts! I have already made Rock Royalty again this year, having taken advantage of their tier point multipliers, but it does get very noisy and hectic in their at times, but I have done extremely well in there in the past two months! I had two hand pays on the exact same Luxury Line machine, one for over $2000, and one for over $3000, and over a thousand dollars on one of their Welcome Aboard machine. In addition, this summer, I have received very good free play and dining money every month. Am very happy with Hard Rock as well. The only thing that diminishes my joy is when I call Al on the floor to tell him of my wins . The first think he does is screams into the phone....have taxes taken out!!! I did receive and invite from Hard Rock for their Halloween buffet dinner and bingo for October 30.

You know, we had our asses handed to us on a platter in August, but the B will always be a favorite of mine. There is just a certain feel about it unlike any other casino resort. It's probably my favorite casino floor anywhere. I actually look forward to going back, but it will be next year before I have replenished the BR to be able to afford it. We are headed down for quick overnight trip today to the Borgata. Hope the slots are kinder today lol, last few trips have been rough! I do love the Borgata but seems all over the place with offers. Also have hard time navigating the website with the offers. Also got an offer for some kitchen plates, cups etc on Monday. Hope it’s the cups lol, drink a lot of coffee here! Sorry I haven’t been posting I’m full time babysitting my one year old grandson. He’s so adorable, but I’m exhausted! Told him Nonna needs a trip to Atlantic City lol! Hope everyone enjoying the weekend!

So many people saying they’ve been killed there lately. I had my worst gambling trip ever at Ocean in August. The nice thing I like about NJ is you can see the casino numbers on the state gambling website. In August Ocean was the tightest hold and Borgata loosest! But of course luck is luck. I really do miss the B and would like to give them a try once I recover from Ocean haha.

We LOVED the resort, our rooms, all of it minus my luck! They made my Grandmother feel like a million dollars for her 80th!

I gave up on a post about my overnight at B for the Tyler Henry show because once again I'm unable to post pics (at least from my laptop, not sure about from the app on my phone). Anyway, just wanted to mention a few things. The best part of the trip was the food, ha! Quick little bite at breakfast buffet on arrival, cocktails and a light lunch at Amphora (food was particularly good), and then dinner at Chelsea 5 Gastropub at the Trop. Highly recommend Chelsea 5. Have family who have eaten there and had a great experience, reviews are pretty much good, beautiful spot overlooking the ocean, service was excellent, variety on the menu was really good, and they accept the Celebration Dinner. So, that's the good. The bad was the slotting for both me and my friend was awful (but that's just the luck of the draw), and the show, unfortunately, was terrible. So disappointed. Went on too long (a little over 2 hours), some people walked out before the end, my friend was nodding off a couple of times haha, and it was just a whole lotta nuthin'. I still think he's adorable and he said his show has been picked up for another year, but after seeing the live event, the TV show has to be staged. Oh, we stayed in the Water Club and despite some of the recent negative chatter about the condition of the rooms, we had no issues and, as always, that tower is so nice and quiet. I dunno what it is, but still love the B. :)
