So, I follow all the food porn from you Vegas veterans and I drool over the pics that you post :) but that will only happen for me in another life. Just booked 4 nights in March for the Bar and Restaurant Expo with another couple (our kitchen manager and his wife). We're hoping to get some new ideas at the Expo, but aside from snackin' around the convention floor, we need to feed ourselves. I don't want to ask this question in the FB groups. It's not helpful with a gazillion answers, sometimes not even focused on the question asked. So, what restaurants do you recommend for good eats that are affordable? The whole fancy-schmancy-costs-a-fortune food experience is lost on me (and Bob; he's not fancy LOL) other than to be happy for those of you who enjoy that. But, I trust your advice, so I'm all ears. LOL

If you guys are going to do breakfast, my vote is for Mon Abi Gabi at Paris. The food is about the best breakfast food I have found in Vegas, and it's honestly less expensive than just about anywhere in town.
A good solid meal at very reasonable prices for Vegas is Grand Lux Cafe at The Venetian and Pallazo. It's a sister restaurant of The Cheesecake Factory. They have an extensive menu that can please anyone. And the quality of the food is really good. Don't let the Cafe in the name deter you because it is so much more than a cafe.
For Asian food at excellent prices, we love Lemongrass at Aria. It is a Thai restaurant. And a new favorite is Din Tai Fung, also at Aria. It is a Taiwanese restaurant. A lot of smaller plates at very reasonable prices that is perfect for sharing, so everyone can try so many different thCafe.
Our last trip we ate at Blue Ribbon at the Cosmopolitan. Really amazing food at very good prices.
Okay, I will stop now and let others who get out and about more than us chime in.

I love grand lux :)

Cosmo has happy hours (or social hours) at almost all of their restaurants with food and drink specials.

There are upscale food courts popping up all over. Block 18 at Cosmo, a big Asian- influenced one at Resorts World and another opening at Aria soon.

Also if you’ll have a car, Vegas has a lot of great options off-strip.

I’ll agree with Zeus that Blue Ribbon at Cosmo is quite reasonable. If your done by Mandalay Bay Citizens cafe is good with a large variety. Lupo by Wolfgang Puck is there also and is good reasonably priced Italian.

All great suggestions so far, some that I've considered from posts I've seen here about them. I will check them out online some more. :)

Where are you staying? It might help to provide food options that are close to where you will be.

Well, we'll be in the Luxor as I got 2-BR, 2-bath tower "suite," comped for 4 nights. It's really just adjoining rooms but it should work well for the 4 of us. The Expo is at the convention center.

NYNY has a great Deli.. like really wonderfully made sandwiches made as you wait.. NOT subway. They also have a yummy Mexican.. Gonzales Gonzales.

It is an easy walk from Luxor, Tram to Excalibur and across the overpass.

Elf will know the good places at Mandalay Bay.. and that is right next door to Luxor!
